5/3/13: Friday Night Open Bottle
Or can, as it may be.
Four NBA game sixes tonight, four NHL game twos tonight, plenty of baseball. What are you watching, what are you drinking?
For me it will be Isles/Pens, perhaps followed by basketball (esp. Knicks/Celtics) pending the outcome and my mood. Miller Lite cans.
Trying to decide if I want to watch the first period before the kids go to bed, or just push the whole thing back an hour or so.

Re: 5/3/13: Friday Night Open Bottle
Good thread.
Unfortunately, I need to accomplish some things from home this evening. That said, in the background I'll certainly be watching Sharks/Canucks, while trying to sprinkle in some OKC/Houston. It's a tossup between Boston/NYY and Montreal/Ottawa, so I suppose I'll just flip back and forth.
I will be consuming whatever is in the fridge (looks like some Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale).

I am stuck in the office for another hour. I was planning on going to check out the O's vs Halos tonight, but I am leaning towards staying home and watching Kershaw vs the Giants, along with a crap load of NBA. The only NBA game I have no interest in watching is the Pacers/Hawks. Budweiser Soul Kings will be the drink of choice.

Getting ready to head to my good friend's place to handicap the Derby card tomorrow with hockey and NBA on in the background. Hopefully more NHL than hoops. I am sure Budweiser and some sort of midrange bourbon will be on the tab...

Hockey on the laptop, nba and jays scores on the iPhone, and the wife gets control of the tv (currently supernatural).

Yep, I am pretty much tied up dealing with necessities around the hut this evening as well. But I do have on, right now, game one of the QMJHL championship final a/k/a the President's Cup (Halifax -v- Baie-Comeau) from the Metro Center in Halifax.Johnny Hotcakes wrote:Unfortunately, I need to accomplish some things from home this evening. The Halifax Mooseheads swept their first three playoff rounds and are 12-0 going into the final. The Baie-Comeau Drakkar swept rounds one and two and won the semi-finals round 4-2 so they are 12-2 going into the league championship final round. Good stuff, this.

Hammered after a great day with my best childhood friend, 18 holes, lunch, blackjack tables, and the wife's birthday. One of the best days. Hope you're all well.
Until everything is less insane, I'm mixing weed with wine.

Fuck if I ever do this again. Next time you guys can drink in silence, all alone, the way you're supposed to.

Sitting in a plane, 30,000 feet up, dtw-sfo. On my third Woodforde Reserve. Fantasizing about the gorgeous flight attendant (she's black, Howard, fwiw).
Going to listen to the Sharks/Canucks game while I read.

Going to a good beer after (some number) of mass-produced light beers <> good idea. Blech.

Enjoyed watching the Knicks try and fail to outdo the Warriors. 26 point early 4th Q lead, down to four, but Melo hit two field goals (his only two of the second half) to ice it.
Two more NBA games. Giants/Dodgers underway. Good start to a nice sports weekend (Derby, Floyd fight tomorrow).
Cooked up a pork tenderloin for dinner. My two new business partners are in town. If I fail as a sales/biz develop guy, maybe they'll keep me on as a chef.

Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.
