You mean Gross Domestic Product? (I bet the IMF doesn't calculate GNP anymore.)

(My buddy's college band was named Gross National Product, which I thought was a cool name.)
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

Nice. I couldn't get the guys to go along with "Free Beer" (and alternatives including "Cheap Booze") even when I explained what a draw that would be when it showed up in a venue's window and ads. They thought it would prevent us from even the getting gigs in the first place. But it turns out that we had that under control without any additional edge.

Yes. I will correct it. And I flipped questions 6 and 7 because I wrote my answer key in the wrong order, but it will be easy enough to score any early answers correctly.

I like these questions. Nothing about hockey, modern entertainment, modern golf, awards, television, or other such corruption. Please feel free to cash the check I sent as promised. I may send you another, along with an expanded list of taboo topics before the next round.

However, regarding question three, that may be the formal name, but isn't the tournament typically referred to as "Wimbledon?"

I love questions like #7 (planets) where everyone probably knows all the answers, and you end up over-thinking your choice to death.

Modern golf, at least, is out of bounds, per my letter with check enclosed to Bensell. The test is whether Walter Hagen is a plausible answer. If no, then it's no go.

Walter Hagen traditionally only played doubles.

Trust me, I'm pretty good at this game.

Single-handed backhand, so he's okay with me.

My father played with Hagen clubs, which I inherited. A Michigander, to boot.

I was sure that it would be the #1 choice, so I avoided going near Uranus.

Now I see that good things would have happened if I picked Uranus.
