God fucking damnit I hate this game. I changed from East Rutherford to Indy, since E.R. was a one pointer last week. Always overthinking this shit. Same with Germany, I felt it was going to be a high score, and I keep it anyways, trying not to overthink it. I will never figure out the way you fuckers think.

At the risk of being a pedantic asshole, the Jerry Dome is in Arlington and Dolphin Stadium is in Miami Gardens. I'm only saying that because I wonder how you would rule "New York City".

I personally wouldn't give a fuck; I've just seen thinner hairs split on SwampCrash.

I would have ruled New York correct as they were part of the Super Bowl week events

Yeah - color me stunned too. I score as I type out the answers so I was more worried about a wlulax/rush or DC47/Sybian tie than your match.

I protest on the grounds that Auburn was a terrific answer to this question given the assumption that "NBA" referred to a similarly named professional football league.

Sybian, you may have over-thought this game. But perhaps I under-read it. Still, I graciously accept the contest's outcome even if my protest is denied. My go-to answer of the always-underrated City of Detroit has once again been my salvation.

Princess Bride, dude.

But there really is no escape from over-thinking. It's one of the fun elements. Last time around I was burned when no one used the obvious answer of Cobb as a career hits leader, and they piled on my seemingly obscure Tris Speaker choice. So being brilliant, I grasped the way the collective thought about baseball and went with the super-obvious Bonds as one of the career home run leaders rather than more obscure answers which I know so well. Burned.

My new model is that I am playing against a group of bi-polar schizophrenics. It's a coin flip as to whether they pile up on less-obvious answers (Rockefeller, Georgia, Venus) or more-obvious ones (Bonds, Germany).

The one thing I can be sure of is that no one here knows squat about soccer, thanks to the revealing discussion of the US women's team victory in the World Cup. That was a cunning bit of intelligence gathering on my part. It allowed me to confidently use Porto as an answer to the Champions League question, secure in the knowledge that the football dilettantes would demonstrate their shallow, overly-conventional view of the game by crowding around Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Man U, and Inter Milan.

Yea I just picked a soccer team I had heard of. I didn't even know what UEFA stood for.

UEFA is European for the part of the body that conveys urine from the Blatter. The latter is sometimes cancerous but hard to remove.

Going in for the winning touchdown, and I spiked the ball on the one yard line! I was about to win the marathon and stopped to celebrate before the finish line!

The tiebreaker will either be the total of sports questions or the total non-sports questions. I've designated one set as "Heads," the other "Tails," so if one of you will be kind enough to pick one I will post the results after I eat lunch
