Wouldn't Yankees fans be pretty used to the deals you are referring to?

And Cashman doesn't get the blame on the deals the Steinbrenners overruled him to make.

Seems to me the dust is settling from all the trade deadline deals. I know there is still getting someone through waivers, but I don't see any big names moving there.

I think, without a doubt, Toronto has improved the most. I think they will win AL Playoffs now, though I'm not sold on Latroy Hawkins as a closer. In NL, I think with Strasburg coming back, I'll still take the Nationals to win it. I don't think the Mets have the offense to contend, but boy do they have starting pitching!

I'll take Nationals over Bluejays in World Series.

Hawkins isn't the closer, Osuna was resting.

I'd like to see a Dodgers-Blue Jays World Series, best pitching vs best hitting?

The Giants in the playoffs in an odd year would be.... odd.

OK. Wondered why they trotted Hawkins out last night, then saw he had a save vs. every MLB team except Twins.

I will not hook my wagon to the Dodgers until they actually do something in the Post-Season!

Yeah with Osuna resting and Sanchez suspended last night, Hawkins was the next best choice.

Bullpen looking good in theory with 7th: Hawkins/Cecil/Lowe, 8th: Sanchez, 9th: Osuna. If Stroman recovers this year he could be thrown in the bullpen as well. But who knows, Jays have the least saves (20) in the entire MLB and have blown 16 saves which I believe is 2nd or 3rd most.

Can you guys take this to the August thread?!?!?
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Wow, how many people had reservations about Cueto at the deadline besides your boy Mister D???

At least Finnegan hasn't lit up the world
