Re: Return of Confessions
I think it was because she said 'english' like english is the only thing that makes someone comfortable.
If she had said "cambodia doesnt speak any language but her own and no one else knows it, that must be really tough" it sounds better. The Australian girl doesnt help either.
The slight on Vietnam was worse because it accuses her of faking it.
Wife is all over this reading Vietnamese media. USA was booed during today's prelims.

Re: Return of Confessions
Tori Spelling had a weird looking face. Shannen Doherty is the definition of RBF (and looked almost spot on a girl in my high school who was the definition of B) and Jennie Garth just didn't do it for me in any way. Sorry guys. The heart wants what it wants.

Re: Return of Confessions
I liked Jennie Garth and Gabriel Carteris. Not the other two. Shannen Doherty is not my type. Tori Spelling is not attractive at all and never would have gotten the job without her father's influence.

Agreed, and I loved when Valerie Malone (Kelly Kapowski, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen) joined.

I can give a pass on one or two of the four female leads, but I'm just gonna call bull on not being attracted to any of the four (I agree on Spelling and Doherty, though the latter was still pretty hot).

She was in her late 20s-early 30s during the show's run. One season she was very pregnant so in most shots, she'd be clutching her binders in front iof her belly, or standing behind something so the belly didn;t show!

Re: Return of Confessions
So I've been a frontend web designer for the past 12-15 years and a couple months ago I decided to changeup my career from right to left brain by enrolling at UMUC to embark on a BS in Computer Networks & Cybersecurity degree. I aced the first three classes in the first semester, and this semester the classes involve taking CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA 901 and 902 exams (mind you, sans certification, because the exams aren't proctored). The classes are both largely project-oriented, and that's good because holy shit - I sat for two of the 3 cert exams' (ungraded, but meant to judge where you're lacking in knowledge), and good grief. I'm scoring in the 50s. Of course, being a web designer means I have fucking zero practical experience in these courses (back-end, server, networks, cabling, etc etc). I don't see how the course materials will get me up to the passing grade required for certification in any of these exams. I'll likely get As and Bs in these classes, because I'll put in the work and find the right answers etc. But yeah, without being able to apply what I'm learning so that I can recall it during a sit down, proctored exam? Fuck no. I know they say don't bother trying for some of these certifications without ample, on-the-job experience, but holy shit was that humbling.
Carry on.
Carry on.

Re: Return of Confessions
Enoch if you pay more than $1 to actually take the comptia tests, you are getting ripped off. I get that you are learning backend stuff, and in a classroom setting, that's fine, but those tests and certifications are utter shit. As someone who has a lot of experience both working with, and hiring people who try and just take those tests (and having taken the Network+ about 8 years ago) they do not prepare you in any way/shape/form for actual work. I am sorry if you already gave them your money. Taking the networking series of Management Information Systems (MIS) courses (probably offered at a local community college) would be MUCH more beneficial.

Re: Return of Confessions
They help check a box in an automated resume checking software to get a job you don't really want (true entry level backend computer work is about $1 more than minimum wage, and you'll be competing with people 10-15 years younger). You'd be immediately exposed in an interview if you just rely on that test to get you through. 2 years of college or real world experience goes a LOT further in actually doing well at the interview. I've been on both sides of that interview (except as the interviewee I also had the schooling).
