So much winning!

Trump promised to shrink the trade deficit. Instead, it exploded.
The Commerce Department said Wednesday that — despite more than two years of President Trump’s “America First” policies — the United States last year posted a $891.2 billion merchandise trade deficit, the largest in the nation’s 243-year history.

The trade gap with China also hit a record $419 billion, underscoring the stakes for the president’s bid to reach a deal with Chinese President Xi Jinping as soon as this month.

The department’s final 2018 trade report, which was delayed by the partial government shutdown.

Even more winning!

From the Post:
ast week, the Commerce Department reported that during the third quarter of 2018 — the period during which Trump took his Charleston victory lap — West Virginia’s gross domestic product grew exactly 0.0 percent. As in, zilch. As in, the worst in the nation.

Wilbur Ross broke law, violated Constitution in census decision, judge rules

Ah, no big deal. He only violated the constitution.
Unable to find any expert in the Census Bureau who approved of his plan to add the citizenship question, (Judge) Seeborg wrote, Ross engaged in a “cynical search to find some reason, any reason” to justify the decision.

He was fully aware that the question would produce a census undercount, particularly among Latinos, the judge said.

I read the town FB forum discussion on this. 75% thankful that the courts are doing their jobs and holding Trump in check, a few comments ranting about illegals taking all their money, and the rest genuinely asking why it matters, since illegals broke the law, why should we protect their right to exist? Some people tried to explain the racist basis the Admin admitted was behind this change. Father of a girl I coached on my daughters previous soccer team was naively asking why the government shouldn't use a more efficient and informative census, that it's stupid not to improve just because it was never done before. Nice guy, but not very bright. During the election, he discussed Trump with me and another father. He either didn't fully support Trump, or was afraid to admit it, but he was extremely impressed with Trump's genius business acumen, and "sure, he seems kind of stupid, be must be a genius to make $10 Billion as a business man." The problem is, people who aren't informed hear shit like this, and without context, I can totally understand thinking Dems want to play dirty an count illegals to get more money for their districts and more political representation where illegals live, and that feeds into the narrative that Dems love illegals because they support Dems, so Dems want open borders and free shit for illegals.

Once again, the Constitution loving Patriots love 'Merica so much, they are perfectly fine with violating every provision of the Constitution except the 2nd Amendment, as long as it hurts colored people.

A friend of mine got a dui and it fucked his shit up for a bit. He wasn’t in jail nonstop( he did do some county jail time on weekends for a while) but so much other stuff wasn’t the easiest to deal with.

Obviously, he deserved it, but it’s not like it’s a slap on the wrist every time.

Though that may have been his second dui now that I think of it.

Yeah, stealing or fraud in the 10s of millions of dollars gets you 4 years. Meanwhile we have counties all over the country that have poor black Americans getting locked up for years due to traffic violations.

The most glaring (and racist) example of this is how we treat crack vs. powder cocaine.

I fucking hope so.

I think Mr. D hit it right on the head. Plus, the judge is a Reaganite who was hostile to this prosecution right from the start.

Judge Jackson also has the power to order his sentence to be served concurrently or consecutively and I suspect under the circumstances she's going to choose the latter to ensure he dies in prison.

This is how bad my brain is: I assume if it is a double (which I won't allow myself to believe), its actually a strategic attempt to get the left screaming about conspiracy theories that can't be proven, opening up the door for similar labeling of actual serious stuff later.

(Which means I have a conspiracy theory about a conspiracy theory. Hooray!)
