I didn't know that Henry Rollins was offered Anthony Kiedis' part, but I can't picture it. He doesn't a really good job.

It's not a spoiler to say this, but the movie never really does allow Bodhi to stray from his philosophy either.

This night surfing scene is really one of the only missteps technically from my perspective.

I get that it's hard to film something taking place at night and actually showing it, but it's pretty obvious this is being filmed during the day and adjusted either digitally (or more likely at the time) using some different filters.
