Don't mean to disrespect the sport, but is there really an arm wrestling strategy other than "try as hard as you can to push the other guy's arm down"?

I mean, he has to have a normal car right? I don't know a lot of truckers, but I know a few and they all have normal vehicles for when they're home and not hauling shit cross-country.

My theory is that he is broke as fuck due to the working so much he was gone for a decade and has an old truck without a bunk and refusing to stay in a hotel/motel.

I only saw bits and pieces of this movie when I was younger, but I remember 90% of that kid's dialogue being "I hate you!"

I'm comfortable enough now to admit to whatever extent I liked this movie after it came out was probably due to not having the greatest relationship with my dad, so a weird kind of wish fulfillment thing. Also I was basically the same age as this kid.

We're what, 40 minutes into the movie and virtually everything Stallone has done makes him look like the bad guy to any sane person.
