What a missed opportunity, should have timed this on Easter and broadcast live on ESPN like LeBron's Decision. Or maybe Groundhog Day.

Maybe this should be in the comedy thread? Eric Bieniemy (intentionally?) recreates Key & Peele scene.

How do you all get your death notices since I left?

About Carr going to NO. And the story seems legit, so I think the above post is just a victim of Twitter's latest batch of fuck ups.

So Baltimore tagged Lamar Jackson with the non-exclusive tag.

JFC this is tiring to follow (and I'm not even a Ravens' fan).

Once the NFLPA began circling agent-less Lamar you knew this was going to be their tack.

I'm not understanding the collusion angle. How do those teams benefit from announcing that?

I suspect the NFL owners have been in contact re: agent-less Lamar Jackson and his guaranteed contract demands, particularly once it became known the NFLPA was buzzing in his ear.

Ask yourself what would collusion look like? A bunch of QB-needy teams announcing they're out of the running would do a lot to suppress his market.

That all looks dead on accurate.

The one that gave the game away to me immediately was the falcons claiming they are out. They have tons of cap room and the FedEx owner’s kid coaching who lives to run and an offense with young receiving weapon in place at TE and WR1 and they are all “nah, we are set with Desmond Ridder so no interest in Lamar Jackson”… I mean. Come the fuck on.

And while we are here, Ruiz above is right. How were ravens comfortable in first place putting non- exclusive tag on him if they didn’t already know market would be inexplicably cool for the services of a former mvp who is just 26…

And with Derek Carr getting that kind of money, there really can be no doubt about this.

Question - does this scenario unfold if Lamar Jackson had a big name agent involved?

The cost to sign lamar away from the ravens beyond the contract is just two first round picks. Way below what his trade value should be…
