Just had a meeting with Shane Pinto's dad (and playing in a golf tournament with him Friday). Man Shane's situation sounds so frustrating. Tough situation for everyone.

All the early reports make it sound like a stretch of a suspension.

Half a season and the league is saying its not betting on the NHL. I don't get what the fuck they think they're accomplishing here suspending players for patronizing league sponsors.

So it says that he did not bet on NHL games but he is suspended for gambling but it is okay to bet on non-NHL events.

Yeah if he himself wasn’t betting but was feeding inside info to pro bettors then half a season sounds about right. But until they come out and say it, it’s a weirdly long suspension.

Well his dad drained a ridiculous shot at the putting competition at our company golf outing (while decked out in full South Dakota Hockey apparel). Took home some $ for that performance.

My daughter (in her Marc-Edouard Vlasic shirtsey) and her boyfriend are attending today’s Capitals-Sharks game. I sent a tweet to the Sharks’ broadcast, so maybe they’ll put her onscreen in one of the bumpers.
