Seeing Kansas City centric commercials was kinda funny. HyVee has the best steaks!

Also, if the Super Bowl ever went PPV the Pentagon would probably step in because AFN is the only way American service members overseas can watch the game. The NFL would probably have an exemption, but still.
The NFL made the armed forces pay for flyovers and other promotional events.
Fair. Then I guess it's possible the government would just foot the bill for broadcasting games.

There was chatter on the second page of the thread about Noah Eagle.

And....HE'S 26!!!

Holy shit, what a voice. And he's really, really good.

Well thank goodness the troops will be alright.

So you're saying some players might not be able to get to the game from the Candian strip clubs?

But, not Peppermints.

I know I've confessed this here before, but in my 4 years in Buffalo I never went to Mints. Driving through Niagara Falls with the family 2 summers ago I did scream, "there's Mints!" and had to explain the excitement of the "Gentleman's Lunch" which was steak for $5 or something. I get the price and college students have no money, but eating in a strip club is nasty. Coincidentally, Nasty was the name of the greatest stripper at a club I went to in Syracuse for a friend's bachelor party. That was the saddest, most depressing club I've ever been to. Just the worst. And no liquor license!

I actually don't think i've been to Mints since ~1992?
yet somehow it's comforting to know it's still there :D

(and i agree, the idea of eating there is incredibly skeevy. Last one i was in - somewhere on Lundy's Lane (IYKYK) - there were tables of guys fully eating food. it's a dichotomy i could not wrap my head around as i was led to the VIP room....some people...sigh....)

Tonight’s game is not only the first home playoff game in Detroit for 30 years it’s the first playoff game period for any Detroit team this decade.

I just checked. It’s the 4th. Indy and Chicago were the first two 7-seeds. The Bears played at New Orleans in the first Nickelodeon Bowl.

Seems premature. Opening drive TD makes it a 13 point game with ample time left.

The NFL has a long history of tilting the scales in their favor. Watching the Packers blow a 27-point lead is some pretty sweet schadenfreude so I’ll be good either way.

This is one of the sketchiest calls in NFL history. If it happens to Dallas there would have been a congressional investigation. But fuck the Lions, right?

That's a really bad drive to waste almost six minutes and not get a TD.

I had the same thought Jerloma did and thought a huge rest for their defense would help. I had also just made a joke about the Cowboys to my wife who is a huge fan, so maybe I was overcompensating. Whatever go Texans!
