You know I'm not a neanderthal of fighting, but in the context of the existing league rules and unwritten code, that kid punched his own ticket tonight.

I think the caveman code referenced here is bullshit as well but hard to argue it didn’t kinda work in this case.

Sorry. Not trying to last word or blanket this thing, but I'm legit fascinated this kid thought this was the right move. Ovi is G-D beast, man. If you've been near him, it's like sulfur comes out of his pores. Just... why?

I don't know man, I see the white guy and I can't help thinking he is mentally ill. I know that doesn't make his racist screeds any less painful for the kids enduring it, and I don't blame the kid who knocked him out, but I really see that as hitting a guy who clearly has issues. Not to mention, that is just going to fuel his fear and hatred, and make other racists think they are right about black people. I just don't think anything good comes out of that situation.

What really shocks me is the reaction of the rest of the passengers. Everyone is laughing and someone is saying "well done." Video ends 12 seconds later, dude hasn't moved and is still out cold and everyone is laughing. I don't know about the rest of you, but seeing someone get knocked out like that in front me freaks me out.

I just figured the guy was drunk, which if so and he's mouthing off racist shit to a bunch of black people he got what he had coming. Agree if he was mentally challenged or something like that the dynamic is completely different.

He seemed drunk, too. I've done a lot of drinking in my day, but never spouted of racist screeds like that.

I played in an adult league where I witnessed multiple fights... Which... That's not fucking normal around here.

One game, a bunch of Jamaicans had beef with my team, full of guys from Ghana (everyone is cool with a white guy if he can play goalie.) After the game, pretty much immediately, everyone squared up and started throwing hands. I sat there with a guy from Costa Rica and just kind of watched. Until one guy from Kingston went to his trunk and got out a gun. We all left at that point. I'm pretty sure no one got shot.

But the other notable event was against a bunch of guys from Jordan (I know, random right?). They didn't like the rough style of play and were very vocal about it. One of our guys elbowed a dude in the stomach, off the ball. That guy crumples and gets up later, livid.

So, about 10 minutes later, again waaaaaay off the ball, the elbowee sizes up my dude, who is facing the other way, and TWO FOOT TACKLES HIS ANKLE. SNAAAAP.

Guy is on the ground, pulls up his leg, and the foot just flops over to the side. I almost threw up.

The fight was epic. I had to work the next day. I got my shit together and walked to my car and left. Quit the team that evening via email.
