Now, I'm not saying that it would be right for angry people of Boston to beat the everliving shit out of them for doing so, but I kinda don't mind if it happens.
That would be awful. It's exactly what they want. The WBC are basically people looking for a lawsuit and if/when it happens, they'd win that case easily.
I dunno. I don't really think they are out there hoping to get the ever loving shit kicked out of them in the hopes of cashing in on a lawsuit. I'm sure you've seen the videos of people fucking with them. These people really believe the bullshit they are spewing.
I know what you're saying. And I ultimately agree. But these guys are pretty close to Nazis asking for a permit to march in a predominately Jewish neighborhood. They are pushing the limits of free speech to the breaking point.

I'm trying to figure out how they DON'T have this. There were so many cameras focused on that area.
My hope is that they haven't scratched the surface of video evidence, and are just sorting through it.
I'm not saying these guys should even be suspects, but this is a very vivid illustration of just how many cameras were trained on this area. And with face recognition technology, it just seems damn near impossible for the person(s) responsible to not have turned up on multiple cameras.

Interesting.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.
Yeah, I'm not sure if some people really realize all of the tools at the FBI's disposal here. It's gonna take some time, but they'll track down these guys (this guy). They got lucky in Oklahoma City that McVeigh got pulled over for a traffic stop. Obviously the Richard Jewell fiasco slowed down the Atlanta bombing investigation but they eventually got Rudolph.
If the guys who did this are smart, they've left the country, but somehow I think they think they're going to avoid being caught.

That was alternately interesting and horrifying. Whoever thought you should just circle all the brown people and declare them suspicious should be flogged.
But that white dude in the blue jacket did look pretty suspicious (in hindsight).

So yea. Politics as usual. At least as far as I see it.
Was just going to say something along those lines.

Arrest has been made, according to CNN. Hoping this isn't a Richard Jewell thing all over again though. I suspect the FBI learned their lesson after that....
The FBI is really fucking good at this stuff; decades of experience (first WTC bombing in '93). I played hoops with a group of guys in the nyc office over the years; one guy who is a pretty good friend was on the forefront of nailing the dudes in 93; from there to Flight 800 to Dar to the bridges and tunnels plot to 9/11 to Madrid and London, and the dozens of smaller incidents. Probably guys and gals he trained have already cracked this one.
I've told this story before, but I'll repeat. One day, after hoops, I ask him 'wtf is gonna happen in Waco?' He was not at all involved in that case, so he just 'speculated' based on his experience and guesswork. Told me what was most likely to occur, probably within a day or two.
I went home, fixed lunch, turned on CNN. And watched exactly what he forecast unfold on the teevee. These guys are real impressive. Government can do some things really well, at least some of the time. (Yeah, I said it!)
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.
Those days are gone forever
Over a long time ago
Oh yeah…
In my Twitter timeline from about 15 minutes ago, I have adjacent tweets, one from the AP saying that the suspect is in custody and expected in federal court, and one from CBS News saying they have learned that no arrest has been made.
Maybe, just maybe, Twitter is not the most reliable source for up-to-the-second breaking news.
Maybe, just maybe, there is no reliable source, and we just have to wait.

John King said "dark-skinned man, and I'm stopping there."
A colleague is on the outer circles of knowing what is happening. When I complained about the lack of progress, he cryptically said something this morning. Now I want to check in with him again.
Non sequitur and I apologize to Boston for noting this in its thread following a tragedy, but every time I get stuck in traffic on 95 I think, man, this is what Tom Cochrane thinks life is like.
EDIT: Neither me nor my spell check knew how to spell non sequitur.

Are you saying he's incorrect? Cause I'd be on the side of more stop and go, unscheduled delays and idiots surrounding me rather than free sailing all night long.
You know what you need? A lyrical sucker punch to the face.

Yeah but why is he singing about it like it's awesome and he can't wait to do that all day?
