Murder suicide
Poison
Drowning
Exhausion/Eaten by animals
I would vote murder/suicide. Guess is one of them was done with being on the run and wanted to turn himself/them in. Other dude shot him then himself.
"Eaten by animals" is just a much more fitting end though.

Unbelievable.

And, I say that as a fan of the show. But, a statue for that little bit of fluff entertainment? I hope it’s not publicly financed.

They were a big, big deal up here.

And it says that it was built with the "non-profit SCTV Monument Committee"

And in a fantastically Canadian touch,
In the first snowy hours of the statues’ lives on our streets, no one is celebrating, there can be no crowd. But someone did anonymously leave boxes of Kraft Dinner in the hosers’ laps.

I saw an interview with Dave Thomas once. He said the whole inspiration and reason for the creation of the McKenzie brothers was the Canadian goverment requirement for a certain amount of "Canadian-centric" content in each episode. So, they came up with the idea for skits featuring a couple stereotypical Canadian hosers. Not an homáge, per se.

Canadian Soldier Who Liberated Dutch City

Pretty much unknown here - but remembered in the Netherlands.

Coyote and skunk sightings on the rise too.

It's like this city is a paradise for really shitty animals.

I have never been so passionate about a beer hockey product since wanting one of these (I actually bought 12 of them via ebay only to find out the version I got only worked in Canada)

1) Happy (Belated) Canada Day.

2) Upon much reflection and examination it gives me no pleasure to announce that 9 out of 10 non-native Mexicans in my PV neighborhood are straight up Alberta/prairie trailer trash. It’s really WEIRD! I hold Canadians in high esteem and I’m from semi-rural Michigan so I know my white trash. It’s an absolute sociological anomaly. Some enterprising Canadian grad student could probably make their career by spending a year here and interviewing the Canadian expats.

If Trump gets convicted and decides to flee the country, it sounds like perhaps he could be elected mayor of your neighborhood?

That’s another hilarious irony. Almost none of these people can vote here. But Mexican government is very laissze-faire compared to Canada and the US so they’re essentially more intelligent versions of the “‘MA’ RIGHTS!” crowd in the US. They’ve figured out the loophole.

I get what you’re saying but there’s no oil heir trash here though I can’t discount anyone being once-removed from money like that. Kind of wish I had some rich racist industrialist relation who left a trust fund where I could get $7500 a month and fuck off to Mexico and live like a king.

There’s some old drunk Canadian fart at this bar watching the Toronto Marlies-Laval game convinced he’s watching the Maple Leafs and Golden Knights (LAV) and I don’t have the heart to correct him. Toronto is up 2-1

Happy Thanksgiving!

Spent my morning walking the dog through an incredibly colourful ravine. The trees are spectacular.

Spent the afternoon taking a 4 hour nap, and feel that (other than a bit of fatigue) Covid has crested.

Now if someone would drop off a turkey with all the trimmings, life would be even better.

My youngest made a(nother) picture of Michael Myers for her mom while at school. This time it also listed every horror villain she could think of with plenty of proper name misspellings, but the one I can't understand and she refuses to clarify might become the greatest canadian slasher ever ...
