Jesus. The sound of that punch. And then the other guy just absolutely crumping. He got turned off.

Had to circle back to see what round they were in. The dude that got thumped was just lumbering forward on what looked like dead legs. No bueno.

Miguel Berchelt was the fighter who got KO'd. Went in as a top pound for pound champ at Super featherweight, facing an undefeated featherweight champ as 4-1 favourite.
Valdez fought a brilliant fight and Berchelt was nearly finished early on but was rallying big time until the 9th round when Valdez got in some monstrous shots. If Berchelt wasn;t the champ, it would have been stopped earlier.
Thank God the winning fighter realized what happened and acted like a human. He could have killed that guy.

Yeah, props to that guy. I don't really have a problem with the UFC, but sometimes those guys throw 2-3-4 punches after a guy is clearly out but the ref isn't fast enough calling it.

Great job by the ref. This fighter was out on her feet. He saved her from absorbing more shots.

Man, what a way to wake up, getting punched in the nose by a professional fighter. I don't comprehend how anyone can fight in MMA. Or boxing for that matter.

Jake Paul. If this is a sideshow it looked like one that hurt a lot.

1) I'm not a boxing expert, but I've watched a fair share of matches (plus MMA, Kickboxing, etc.)
2) What is that guy doing with his lead hand?
3) That looked very rigged to me.
4) There is no #4.

Waving?
I watch a lot of boxing, but I will not watch fights between guys with 5 or 6 combined fights between them.
Hopefully this Paul guy will let hubris get the better of him and will offer a 6 figure payday to some top 25 contender. THAT I would watch.

Only if he was a top 25 contender in 1985.
I meant I'd watch to see the guy put an end to this Paul nonsense once and for all.
The Paul (brothers) thing is just going to keep on rolling while the money keeps printing itself. It is a gravy train that keeps this guy on his feet. What needs to happen is for someone to fight him who does not care about the money, agrees to keep to the script, then shows up and Ks(him)TFO. I would love to see that.
You need a vaguely decent heavyweight (not too good, as that will make it all the nicer), who is done in the fight game, comes back to make some money, plays along and then eats him up like Pacman...

How exactly does an encounter like that happen? Bulls are pretty much always isolated in their own fenced fields, because they are dangerous. Did someone plan a bike race through a bullpen? Was it Jackass?

THE ROCK COBBLER IS THE KOOKIEST BIKE RACE I’VE EVER DONE. IT’S UNCLASSIFIABLE. ONE MINUTE YOU’RE ON NICE SURFACE AND THE NEXT YOU’RE SLIP SLIDING DOWN A SCREE FIELD, OR JUST PLAIN OLD RIDING THROUGH A FIELD DODGING CATTLE. THERE ARE 30 PER CENT RUN UPS, WHITECLAW HAND UPS, BALL PITS, AND IT’S BRUTALLY DIFFICULT
a few years ago the race went through a guy's house

It’s nice they let senior citizens compete in MMA. Wait, Ferguson is only 38? That kick aged him 50 years in a few moments.
Johnnie wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 10:44 pm
That. Was. Cold.
I had to watch that through a second time. Damn.
I’m going out on a limb as saying he didn’t follow protocol. Just calmly walked outside while the guy ran back and took a swing, then sucker punched him while he walked away. Good reminder of how impressive it is that pro boxers can take so many punches.

That's the problem with talking shit to everybody. Raises the odds that one of them is a professional boxer
