I'm not sure what I want more: the Bucs to win back to back SB titles, or Aaron Rodgers to lose.
Either way, fuck Aaron Rodgers.

Re: NFL Playoffs 2022 (following 2021 Season) and what not
Being an Oilers/Titans fan sucked last night. Really dominant performance from the defense holding that Bengals offense to 19 points...
Joe Burrow may turn out to be pretty special, he was getting smashed all over the shop by the Titans 4 man rush and the offensive line just got man-handled. But huge props to Joe, he just took the hits, went back to the huddle, cool as a cucumber and got on with the job. God help teams against them if they get a young left tackle. They have 35 players signed up, a QB going into the 3rd year of his cheap rookie contract and $58m of cap space...
Meanwhile Tannehill's execution was so hit and miss, he hit AJ Brown and Julio with some beautiful passes and then at times could not hit a barn door with a banjo or just threw into coverage. On the first interception on the first play of the game, he had AJ open for a TD, but didn't see it off play-action...
The Bengals are quite capable of beating the Bills or Chiefs. The Chiefs' defense will have nightmares about Burrow et al, but they can score a bucket load of points. I think the Bills defense is top draw and they are capable of giving the Bengals Offense a good game...
Regarding the other game last night, funny as fuck to watch the Packers get beat. I really enjoyed watching the 16 minute press conference with Aaron Rodgers...

Yesterday's loss has to be a tough pill for Titans fans to swallow. Tannehill kind of displayed why he's a high floor, low ceiling QB that doesn't function well outside of play-action. Worse is that his cap hit will go from $11.1 million this season to $38.6 million in 2022.Tom 1860 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 6:09 am Being an Oilers/Titans fan sucked last night. Also, I don't watch enough Titans football but don't they use their tight ends at all? Seems they should with a conservative short passing game.

Re: NFL Playoffs 2022 (following 2021 Season) and what not
They do use their TEs and Anthony Firkser has been pretty productive of late... Losing Jonnu Smith in the off-season was huge as he is a great short receiving option as well as being one of the leagues better move blockers. MyCole Pruitt breaking his ankle in week 18 also hurt because he is also a good short range receiver and really solid inline blocker...degenerasian wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 2:04 pmYesterday's loss has to be a tough pill for Titans fans to swallow. Tannehill needs to be able to look at his 3rd and 4th reads more often instead of going just forcing the ball to his 1st or 2nd. If Caleb Farley pans out and we can keep some of our playmakers on defense, it is going to be a pretty scary unit next season...

The odds are in your favor after a penalty on the extra point.
At a certain point, the game starts being played out differently had the Titans kicked the extra point, so you can't just "+1" their score.

Is it really worth the risk of putting your team a point behind where they should be because there's a 60% chance of getting it?
I know, I know, analytics say it's the right move. Just like it was the right move for Harbaugh to twice go for 2 point conversions at the end of games rather than go to overtime.
But conventional wisdom would point out that the Ravens missed the playoffs and the Titans are watching the conference championship next week.

If you watch enough Titans games you'll see that Vrabel is a really aggressive play caller. I don't mind the call it was the 3 and 1 and then 4th and 1 that they couldn't complete that did my nut in.DSafetyGuy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 2:52 pmThe odds are in your favor after a penalty on the extra point.

I really like Vrabel as a coach, and think his relationship with the GM Jon Robinson is really solid.

Re: NFL Playoffs 2022 (following 2021 Season) and what not
Kinda what Pruitt said … the conversion rate point expectancy shouldn’t be the only factor, win expectancy at +2, +1 and 0 should be as well. I’m sure it was, but it’s not just a >50% for 2 equation.
Re: NFL Playoffs 2022 (following 2021 Season) and what not
So, both the Rams and Bucs are already selling contingent tickets to next week’s NFC championship game. As you may recall, the Rams were embarrassed a couple weeks ago when 49er fans may have outnumbered Rams fans. They are going to try to prevent this from happening again in a championship game.
“Rams’ website ticket sales announcement” wrote: Public sales to the game at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA will be restricted to residents of the Greater Los Angeles region. Residency will be based on credit card billing address at checkout. Orders by residents outside of the Greater Los Angeles region will be canceled without notice and given refunds."

Not for anything, but that’s some bullshit.
I can only speak for Philly, but all but around 6K of seats are reserved got season tickets holders, which include the playoffs when they host it. So even if the opposing fans want to go to a game, they can only either try to get among those 6K that are reserved for the public, or pay through the secondary market. I would’ve assumed everyone else did that.

I'd also factor in having Derrick Henry. I think you have a better than 60% of scoring handing the ball to Henry at the 1.
I still can't believe the 49ers were able to win with their offense looking so inept. Crazy game.
