Nah. I've got two, and would be glad to have a bunch more. One advantage is that they never stop being cute. Another is that I doubt a teenage son would still be giving dad a hug and kiss goodnight.

Found out this morning my wife is preggo again. Only telling immediate family after what happened last time, but wanted to share it with someone, so y'all are the lucky ones.

Thank you sir! I was a nervous wreck the first time around and after the last time, the next nine months are just going to be brutal, but worth it.

I'm glad for you and Mrs. Giff.

You are right to be quiet about this. I'm amazed when people talk about pregnancy in the first trimester with those in their everyday lives (work colleagues, neighbors), with the exception of very close friends. So much can go wrong. So many painful conversations, over weeks and weeks, can be avoided. Internet friends may be ideal as you can control this.

Yes, what he said. People's openess about this always surprises me.

That said, congrats and best wishes, Giff.

And if I'm reading between the lines, congrats mister d?

We had stuff going on when my wife got pregnant a second time and we weren't telling anyone. It reached the point where her father said to her, "There's no good way to ask, so I'm just gonna do it. Are you pregnant or just getting fat?"

He's not a wordsmith or particularly delicate in any way.

And Mr. D., yeah, all I can think is what we spent on buying all those bins, paid for them to get moved, had to buy extra shelves to keep them off the floor in the basement, and now.... Well, at least there are consignment sales and some clothes that can pass for a boy's that we can salvage.

You never got "gonna try for a 3rd???" or anything like that? Maybe I just ooze the kind of masculinity people don't want to see reach its end.

(Its not a big deal, I'd rather chop my penis off than consider a third and being outnumbered, I just find the frequency to be odd. And now it makes me suspicious of parents of every middle child who matches the same sex as the first.)

And congrats everyone else who is also really, really good at the sex.

More often "are you done?", but I never really feel it's because people expect us to have a boy. These days, depending on who is doing the asking, I just whip out my scars and try to embarrass them for asking too personal a question.

Hey, congrats to the preggo dads. Good luck. My wife and I were both over 40 when I finally knocked her up, and that was six months after the docs said it wasn't gonna happen without invitro fertilization (which we declined to do). We were on pins and needles all the way to the finish line. We had basically given up working on it and she had quit taking the fertility pills. And, then just on recreational sex it happened.

Honestly, just lucky. At least against you and oiler. I get my ass kicked on the regular by one of my friend's dads. And Hood wins about 35-40 percent of his games against me.

That made me laugh. Great humblebrag, there. Winning 35% isn't really such a great accomplishment for an Ivy League-educated Manhattan executive. But you make it sound like he's a special needs kid at the local school...

Hood wasn't Ivy-League educated in Scrabble. Winning 60% of his games is a counter to my pinning him as "universe's greatest".

I really am convinced that once you've played a few hundred games of WWF, it's basically all about who gets the best tiles at the best times. There's strategy of course, but once someone gets that few hundred games under their belt, it's pretty obvious what the optimal strategy is in most situations.

I thought about this way too long on the flight. CURSE YOU GARY KELLY

Phoenix/Mesa. The Mesa airport is trying to build up as a "major" airport as an alternative to Phoenix Sky Harbor. I think it's just Allegiant that flies there for now.

Great song. Saw the record in a store the other day for a cool $6. May have to go back to see if it's still there. (Trivia: the song refers to this 1960's french horror flick:

Cool. I never knew what the back-up singers were saying until I decided to play it on piano and had to pull up the lyrics. I think I always sang it as something like "dahshnovonkibaaaaaal..."

Who the fuck knows.

I was just at a small nearby Japanese/Korean grocery store and they had a table with sushi and cooked foods. Neither heated, nor refrigerated... just room temperature. Those breaded wings are going to give someone a really bad night.
