If you have kids, you’ve probably read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar “.

I watched the first episode of Breeders last night (thanks to the discussion here) and the daughter was reading that book.

When my youngest was very small we read that book to her. When she could talk she "read" it to us. Of course, she was reciting what we said but it was still neat.

And to be honest Eric Carle was more deserving of his own thread than Grodin and i liked grodin. But yah, not exactly Dr Suess or anything. Just personal attachment.

John Davis, one of the actual singers that Milli Vanilli lip synced to, dies of COVID at 66.
Starting to think it's not safe to ride a bicycle in Utah, especially for Swampers and former pro basketball players.
The backup center on my Swamp All-Time NBA Draft team is now fixing cars in the sky.

He had a good run there in the 60s and 70s, from being a regular on McHale's Navy to being a regular on The Mary Tyler Moore Show to being the captain of The Love Boat.

I’ve been watching MTM and The Love Boat lately so this one stings.
Strange headline. He wasn’t even the first to have a hit with that song, and I think he was much more famous for “Raindrops keep falling on my head”, which was the featured song in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”.

Apropos of nothing, anyone who likes the Ooka-Chaka version of the song better, that's a sign that they're not my kind of person.
Or just really was.into k. Billy's Super Sound of the 70s
Is that where the hits just keep on...trucking?

I didn't say that I preferred the Oooka-Chucka Ooka Chucka version, but I do think that song is more associated with the band that did that version than with B.J. Thomas.

My father had this album on 8-track. It that got a lot of play in the car and this song will occasionally pop into my head after all these years.

Bailey probably did more than anyone to get Simpson acquitted, Johnnie Cochran included.
You’re selling Mark Furman short.

Mike Marshall, first reliever to win a Cy, 78. Bronto's article linked above. Did he and Rollie start the awesome reliever facial hair trend?

Marshall was also a featured, interesting character in Jim Bouton's Ball Four book.

He was an Expos legend - that trade for Willie Davis was ridiculous.
