It's been at least five years, and I now live in the state, but I'm still not used to Maryland being in the B1G.
You live in MD now? Where?
Elkton. About a good three-iron from the Delaware border.
I'm in Cecil County a few times/year. Maybe we grab a beer one night? And you've clearly never seen me hit a 3 iron.

We can do that. There are a couple places on the Main Street in Elkton, or North East is only about 20 minutes from me. The wife is FB friends with the guy who owns the Chesapeake Inn, right on the canal.

Does Chesapeake Inn still have A+ fries? I don't have much good to say about Elkton (presumably in large part because that's where I got to experience 9-11), but Chesapeake Inn was an elite-tier work lunch spot.

That's all just glorious. And the handshake line is the DEVIL.

=-=--=

Say it again, I've never seen a more Night/Day basketball team than this version of MI. Probably just punched their NCAA ticket with a win in Columbus without their best player (Dickinson - stomach virus). They have loads and loads of talent and heart, but they play every 3rd game or so like they don't really want to be there.

Just... odd.

He played and coaches for Duke. Of course he is. Learned it from the best.

SOCON finals pretty fun. Three to tie at 4 seconds by firman to force OT. Chattanooga vs furman.

And Chattanooga may have gotten away with basket interference right before the three.

Surprised Bryant fans didn't breakout into a "Let's go Brandon!" chant as they taunted Wagner players and their families before chaos ensued.

That is some whiskey fucking tango going on in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Anyone surprised that a legendary prickly coach might have a son who is also a prick?

(Buddy Beoheim cheap shotted a FSU player today.)

So Enfield gets locked up by USC. So who is the next Terp Target? Guy from Providence? Odom from UMBC? English from Mason? Apparently another big name said he would rather wait for the G-town job. Shoot maybe Dieon Sanders and his 8 toes can take the gig.

The "which job is better" between G-town and MD is actually kind of interesting.

He is my least favorite player at Syracuse in a long, long time. I would be willing to make a case that he is the worst player of their healthy starting five (their center is out for the year).

I would also be willing to bet that ten more egregious things have happened and gone unpunished in ACC games this year.

I'd prefer he didn't play, to be honest, but that's based on what I want to see happen without him playing.

Yep, so Girard gets to play extended minutes at the two, his more natural position, where he shoots significantly better than when playing the point. They could be significantly better than expected today because replacing a two-guard who often plays with tunnel vision (25.1 usage rate) with a more traditional point guard could lead to very good things for their two best three-point shooters (Girard, Swider).

And even if that happens, they'll still get whacked by double digits.

Syracuse knocking off Duke without Boeheim's kid then losing when he comes back would be objectively hilarious.

I know one really cares, but...

Today's loss for MI is exactly why I'm just not all that into this version. They let IU go on a 28-4 run to lose a game that was a laugher with 12 left to play.

They just... don't have it.

I wouldn't say it's a complete coincidence that they played arguably their best game of the season (there isn't much competition) with him suspended.

Yeah This has been a fun season for PC, but this thrashing seemed all but inevitable. I guess rather for it to happen now but they're not really a legit 3-4 seed.
