Considering Josh Allen fakes slides and embraces contact, I have no idea how the Steelers can affectively commit to tackling him without it turning into a penalty, but if a defenseless tackler is engaged, just hit him wherever.

Also, the defensive holding call on a ball thrown 30 feet out of bounds brought me to the Gronk being held in Carolina Swamp discussion in 2013; I still don't understand it.

They changed it from PI to holding because the ball was uncatchable but for it to be holding it never could have been PI because it would have happened to have before the pass, so yeah confusing call.

Don't know about the Porter thing. Can you have a block in the back if the defender already has the runner wrapped up? It didn't look legal but nobody brought it up.

I'm still pretty sure they got away with a lost fumble in the first quarter on the other hand.

At Aikman or just in general. Aikman gets on my nerves.

There are plenty of coaches who suck. A smaller subset of those are gruff, personality-lacking assholes. A smaller subset of that group are so toxic that their players routinely quit in them.

But all that, AND he was indicted for sexual assault? Why would any team willfully hire this fuck?

Tampa got away with a pretty blatant holding call on that touchdown. The OL literally tackled the DL.

Philly’s downfall in the second half of the season has been amazing, at least to me.

From able to beat anybody to able to lose to anybody.

If the Eagles are defending a play that would require the defense to make a tackle, that play will be successful.

Getting my shit wrecked by a gimpy Baker is the perfect ending to this total putrefaction of a season.

Imagine if Tampa's receivers were catching the ball -- Evans's drops are surprising.

Bills are going to be scouring CFL teams to find linebackers.

But always nice to see the Steelers season end

The fake slide really is some bullshit. You deserve to get your head taken off for that.

I mean it's brilliant and shows incredible athletic ability and awareness, but if you're going to act like a hero when you draw a penalty on it the next time, you're legit frat boy sleaze.

What a brain fart by Hurts there. If he took the sack at the 4 that’s not great but retreating back into the end zone then grounding the ball. Woo boy.

I didn’t think it should’ve been a penalty because he slid so quickly and Jack had already started to make a play. That said, that doesn’t look like a fake slide to me, just an awesome juke.

I think it only looked like an awesome juke because the defender pulled up thinking it was a fake slide which admittedly made it very cool but he knew exactly what he was doing with that backwards motion while he was slowing down. It was definitely more subtle than Pickett's bullshit at Pitt.

Lions last two playoff wins have been over #1 overall QBs (Stafford, Aikman) so maybe that bodes well going up against Mayfield.

One of Purdy, Goff, Baker or Love is starting the Super Bowl.

Especially interesting when you look at the AFC - Mahomes, Jackson, Allen & CJ Stroud

All in all, hard to be too upset at that Steelers loss. They started poorly, but then played pretty well for most of the game. It was obvious to me that the Bills are a better team and deserved to win, but a bounce (or call) or two goes the other way, and the Steelers could have stolen that one.

While Allen didn't actually get into a crouch as if to slide on that run (as Pickett did in college, like Jerloma pointed out), but he did slow to a near stop and sort of stood up in the universally understood body language of "I give up." If they're going to pass so many rules protecting QBs, they need to consider that play dead once he did that.

But, I'm pretty sure Buffalo was going to score on that drive anyway.

Josh Allen probably isn't the absolute best QB right now (albeit he's clearly in the "win because of" level), but man, no one is more fun for me to watch. Everything he does is at 11. I think the funniest thing yesterday was when they were going for a tush push, and instead of of letting his guys behind him push him forward, he chose to try a flying shoulder into the pile. I don't know if this is sustainable for what would turn out to be nine games in a row, but it sure is entertaining.

The Q4 bench shots did little to change my opinion that Hurts is a weirdo and more like Russ than anyone wants to admit.

I agree. I think I put Lamar and Mahomes ahead of him, but I can be argued for Josh. I do believe that Josh has the highest ceiling, it's just his (totally justified) belief that he's Superman can sometimes backfire. But we he goes supernova, there's no one better.

I'm a huge Bills fan and absolutely love Josh Allen.

Would trade him in a heartbeat for Mahomes.

As great as Allen and Jackson are, there's a big dropoff from Mahomes down to them.
