I don't know who the fuck this guy is, but I'm dying laughing. There's absolutely nothing that could make this any funnier to me.

That's one of only 3 or 4 cricket players I have ever heard of.

That is hilarious.

Yeah, a couple of good semis, but not terribly surprising it would be the Aussies and Kiwis duking it out. Should be a great match though. I'll be up early Sunday to watch.

(It's on ESPN+ for anyone interested in checking out some cricket before NFL on Sunday. World Cup final match is a great time to try and get into the game)

Every Sunday there's a group playing at the junior high in our neighborhood. One of these days I'm going to ask to join.

Tired of watching others play with the sticky wicket, huh?

New Zealand's Devon Conway will miss Sunday's showpiece against Australia at the T20 World Cup after breaking his hand punching his own bat.

Kiwis starting to warm up. Weird to see Starc get lit up like this. Williamson might get a century.

I used to live in the town with the largest Indian population in North America. There were pickup cricket games all over. Always said I'd join one day, but never did. After I moved, I became friends with an Indian guy whose kids went to pre-school with my kids. He played sometimes and said he would bring me along, but that never happened either. I'm still convinced I could toss a wicked googly.

Yeah NZ only look to score about 160-165 now. Aussies should run that down.

That's a higher total than I thought they would get at the half way stage of the innings, advantage Oz still I think.

172 for the Blackcaps. Should be an exciting run chase but I still think the Aussies get there.

Sweet. Windies were overdue to get to host a big event again.

For US-based venues, I know there's a purpose-built facility in Fort Lauderdale that will probably get the call. Not sure where these other venues that are being built supposedly are, but have to think something around the NYC/NJ area is likely with all of the South Asians that live there. Wouldn't surprise me to see Las Vegas get in the mix either. Would be hard to turn down as far as a destination international visitors from Australia, the UK, etc. want to visit.

DMV has a lot of fields and more being built. Always makes me smile when I happen upon one... Not sure why.

Yeah, DC area is another likely landing spot for a venue/games in '24.

Watching West Indies/Ireland ODI on Hulu and Windies have taped over Sandals as their jersey sponsor for some reason. Wonder if it was just that they didn’t renew for 2022

I sort of got hooked while visiting India a number of years back. Forced to learn the rules and got into it.

Then I watched the special on Prime about the Aussie team that was caught up in scandal and reminded me how cool the game is. I'll definitely check it out, so... Thanks!

When I look at that, I dunno, score or whatever it’s plainly obvious this was one hell of a close match. Test. Event. Colonization. I don’t know what you call a cricket game.
