Also, when do we reach the point where the onus is shifted to the reporter(s) to publicly forgive? Gotta be soon.

Thought I've had for years: despite the ethnic/height differences, Altuve looks like Timothy Olyphant. Don't tell me I'm wrong.

That was a poor stretch at first by Gurriel on the close double play. I think it has cost them 2 runs.

Springer needs to run out of the box, should be on 3rd with 1 out.

It was because Tucker had to stay at second because Eaton almost caught it.

I feel like Astros are probably going to lose now and that's OK. Been a fun season and really just kinda ready for it to be over after all the other shit.

Perhaps but I feel like Springer should have been already past first base when Eaton failed to catch it.

Tucker shouldn't have been standing on second but even though he was, Springer should have been standing next to him. I guess the good thing is he's not in the Acuna/Puig/Cano/et "all" bucket where those sorts of things are A HUGE PROBLEM.

I’m no one to give advice about anything but it’s not worth getting upset — you or your wife. It’s not apples to apples but it’s like me with the Lions and Patricia. I’m not gonna say I don’t care but I can’t honestly say I care about them. And I used to really CARE. With a pure heart the way you care about your wife or your kids. Losing that hurts but it doesn’t mean you have to disavow ever being a fan.

I dunno, buddy. My two cents.

I actually hadn't read Hinch's comments on the issue, and he handled it pretty well, even with the low bar set by the rest of the organization.

Astros should be firing their entire PR staff* unless they were following orders from ownership. That was about as mismanaged a situation from a PR standpoint as I can recall in recent memory.

* For incompetence in case it wasn’t clear.

Sounds like Luhnow's upset he had to fire Taubman.

Fucking dumpster fire. You knew that team was toxic as anything when Gurriel went slanty-eyed a couple years ago in the post season to mock some Asian player (I'm forgetting who).
