I'm not certain why Utah doesn't identify himself as an FBI agent immediately in the bank robbery so the witnesses can ID him as being an unwilling participant, though maybe it does have to do with him being excited by being a part of Bodhi's crew.

I think there's a case to be made that Bodhi is trying to either pull one last big score by hitting the vault or showing off for Utah. Could be a little of both.

Obviously, he's going to make Utah his fall guy ahead of time, but it's about the score because he knows he can't come back.
