And this is why I have always argued that government employees are the last people who should be allowed to have a union. I probably told the story about the Customs inspector who used his service firearm to fatally shoot some dude in a mall parking lot. He wasn't allowed to carry off-duty, either. So he is walking to his car and sees a guy breaking in to his car, so he decides to open fire. Then realizes his car is a few spots down. The now dead guy had a car the same make, model and color. "My bad." The inspector was placed on leave WITH PAY while the investigation proceeded and he sat in jail. Ridiculous he was getting paid, right? Nope, the Union filed a grievance for arbitration that the guy should be allowed to remain on duty. While he is in fucking jail! God, I hate government employee unions.

Keg's story is an outlier to my theory. Even if a girl is interested, following her into the womens' locker room and exposing yourself is a turnoff, unless you are filming a porno. For some reason, girls aren't turned on by men exposing themselves in public. I can't picture a group of women at a sporting event yelling "show your cock" to random guys walking around.

Reading something that bizarre and disgusting and then learning of the punishment that followed makes me facepalm.

I remember discussing in here the response the Air Force took with the girl who was "offended" with her squadron and the drastic overreaction from removing magazines, changing plane nose art, and generally removing any and all things deemed "inappropriate" from work centers. Well there's also the recurring yearly training where I'm reminded that I'm nothing more than a rapist in waiting. That's how the briefing shakes out. When I'm told that "if any alcohol is ingested, consent cannot be given" and that "as a military member you will be held to a higher standard than the average civilian," I get extremely pissed. The military is reactionary and it starts from the top of the food chain. And everyone just seems to be cool with it. When your baseline for committing an infraction is so low, any sort of response taken is shown as "enforcing standards and dealing with those who break rules.

Thanks for the advice. I've always struggled with the timing but never with the actual asking part. I've asked a tonne of girls out. But what I've learned from you guys is that the timing is irrelevant and I should not spend too much time analyzing. And it's the same excuses that don't fly. "I'm not ready, I'm too busy".

I know now. If she likes you, it doesn't matter when you ask, it doesn't matter if she's not ready or if she's busy. She'll think about you and make drop everything to make time for you. I just haven't found that girl yet.

yes on purpose too. At least that part was a success. I've known her awhile. I purposely didn't talk to her, purposely ignored her so when she did ever break up I would not be a friend and would be in today's position of asking her out. So now she knows and it'll be back to normal, not seeing her for awhile.

Further follow-up.

After a long workday I still had pool night. I dont know if it was because I was no longer stressed but I have never played better. We beat the defending champs (albeit with the handicap) and I cleared the table off the break earning myself a $25 gift card. Pool hottie was happy!

Out of 100ish seats guess which seat SHE takes? Of course beside me and she sits very close sharing my notes.

Then coming back, we take the same elevator (I really should have stayed behind longer) and she smiles and waves as my boss and I leave.

My boss is now suspicious. She may or may not ask me about it later on. I definitely have to avoid this dumb girl now after last week's rejection.
