Our neighbor's elementary school-age daughter displayed the book she wrote at her school's Open House. Her older brother was the prominently featured character in I Hate Ben.

I watched "Grindhouse" earlier this week and left the movie thinking Quentin Tarantino's foot fetish is one of my ten most hated things in the world.
His movie also was probably the worst effort of his career with the exception of his segment of "Four Rooms" and it has nothing to do with the "honoring the history of exploitation films".

It's not the worst thing in the world, but there's a certain specific type of disappointment to buying something you think is just strawberry only to discover it's strawberry-banana.

the coupon is for free pints of Ben and Jerrys. and works through today. I'm at 16 right now and have worked myself up to six per visit (self-checkout baby). shooting for 30-40, depending on how bored I get tonight.

Last year was Creme Eggs, this year Ben and Jerrys. You may get a reputation. Question is what does the resale market look like?Brontoburglar wrote:none have been eaten yet.mister d wrote:In a row?

I figure i'm setting myself up for a summer's worth of ice cream for free given my ice cream consumption rate of 2x a week, max.

I'm telling everyone that buys greeting cards for me for any occasion to instead buy me a six-pack. For about the same price (I'll take a sixer of Lone Star tallboys for 5.99), I'll spend probably 10,790 seconds more with the beer than I would the card (30 minutes per beer > 10 seconds reading card and throwing it away).Keg wrote:Costco sells a box with an assortment of greeting cards, which comes out to less than $1/card.wlu_lax6 wrote:I have to believe the greeting card market is some crazy cartel. We're most likely getting a Lincoln MKX this weekend since our Explorer lease is expiring. Next month, we're driving out to California as a family, but they're flying back so I'll be driving back to Texas alone. I'm pretty sure I'm going to spend the entire time talking to myself in my McConaughey voice while rubbing two fingers together. "Alright alright alright, I'm gonna take piss at this truck stop."

Re: Random Thoughts About Thoughts Random
Funny you should mention that. My dispensary of choice actually has an outlet next to the New Mexican place you like now. I'm heading there for some lunch and some weed here in about 30 minutes. It's on the other side of town for me, but it's a killing two birds with one stone type situation. (And they've got a flash sale on a strain I really like for only $30 an 1/8th.)Giff wrote:Yeah, looking forward to test driving it. My FIL is getting us a great deal. Like, with the proliferation of both legal and illegal weed, you'd think the bozos that run things would get a hint that you can't stop the runaway freight train. But no.
Anyhoo, I don't know what it is about Wingstop fries and Wingstop blue cheese, but together they're crack. I seriously can't stop eating it.
