Anyhoo, I don't know what it is about Wingstop fries and Wingstop blue cheese, but together they're crack. I seriously can't stop eating it.
I heard they put sugar on the fries. My favorite fast food fries for sure.

Yes! Which made me go nuts when the Ringer staff named the Chick-fil-A waffle fries as the #1 fast food item in America. Horse. Shit.

I wish I could've been on a podcast and ranted like Carolla about it.

What? Those fries aren't even the #1 fast food item in the order I get from Chick-fil-A.

The #1 (order number, not ranking) items, ranked:
1. Chick-fil-A sandwich
2. Lemonade
3. waffle fries

For fast food, it's pretty great. For any other restaurant, it's pretty meh. I do like the raisin-carrot slaw, though.

Exactly. It's fine for fast food, but not worth of the pedestal or cultdom some people put it up on.

Oh, trust me. I became crotchety old man real quick. These fucking kids are absurd.

Edit: What sucks is that neither Steak N Shake nor Shake Shack are in New Mexico. So I don't get to have them. But you'd think as a consolation a green chile cheeseburger from Blake's would make it. No. There's a 'Lota' anti New Mexico bias on that list.

They probably don't know New Mexico exists. The other day my mum was on the phone to customer service for some company. The lady asked her for her address. After my mother said "New Mexico", the customer service person said, "I'm sorry, we only ship to addresses in the United States."

New Mexico magazine used to have a regular feature called "One Of Our 50 is missing" about stories like that.

I don't get the waffle fry enthusiasm at all. Especially when paired with the chicken which is actually delicious.

Oh I get them in general. Although, if you just took 6 regular fries and made your own little waffle, is it that much different?

Men are assholes.

Men are responsible for all of the wars and a huge majority of the injustice in the world.

Men are liars.

Men in power turn into evil monsters.

Men simply can not be trusted.

I get that...

But women, women are just fucking nuts.

I was just talking to my friend about whether or not I should meet some peeps at Twin Oaks tonight (local renowned Italian place). So the deli guy says to me "baked stuff shrimp with mashed potatoes in the middle." She doesn't think it's weird that the guy offered me a food suggestion and felt the need to specify the location of the plate that the mashed potatoes should be. That's pretty much like universally weird, right?

It was the vision of the architect, idea was to be minimalist and have no direct lighting. All the lightbulbs are hidden.

Most people don't like it and there has been a move to put in brighter lighting and increase signage (which in the beginning was often hard to see/find.)

I've never seen the dish, but I'm assuming the shrimp are plated circling the potatoes, in which case it's not weird at all.

That's what I'm saying. It would be totally weird, especially for a guy that works in food service, to suggest that you order it that way at a restaurant. If he really meant that, then yes go back and scold him.

Right...I can't imagine they'd just come with mashed potatoes in the middle. The fucking juice from the shrimp has the potential to absolutely destroy the mashed potatoes, which to be honest look more whipped than mashed.

My sister loves Jolly Ranchers, but only the raspberry. She buys bags then eats the BR and then throws the rest of the bag away. I told I'd bring them into work.

According to my research, Watermelon needs it percentage upped.

I said this with a little more fleshed out in my facebook post, but it bears repeating.

Out of the literally hundreds of phenomenal tracks he's on, if your favorite Sinatra song is "My Way", you are almost certainly an asshole.

TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK SWAMP

Scenario: Parents and their three kids and significant others are going on a vacation together for a week and staying in a condo.

FAMILIES (not Bronto's family)

- Parents (2)
- Couple 1: Oldest daughter, her husband and three kids under 10 (5)
- Couple 2: Middle daughter, her husband and 18-month old (3)
- Couple 3: Youngest daughter, her significant other (who may or may not be Bronto) (2)

The cost of the condo has been split four ways evenly. Each of the couples is paying the same amount for lodging.

CONDO BEDROOMS

- Master bedroom 1 (main floor)
- Master bedroom 2 (main floor)
- Bedroom 3, twin beds (main floor)
- Bedroom 4, bunk beds (main floor, next to bedroom 3)
- Bedroom 5, queen beds, top floor with loft space

---

This is where I need you, swamp. What is the most amicable room arrangement?

These are the givens:

- Master Bedroom 1 is going to the parents, that's non-negotiable.
- Bedroom 4 with the bunk beds is going to a combination of children and possibly a parent from Couple 1

That leaves MB2, BR3 and BR5 to split between Couple 2, Couple 3 and half of Couple 1. How would you divide them up among the remaining people?

(My answer is after the spoiler tag as to not influence rational thinking)
[+] spoiler
Given the logistical -- and financial -- arrangement, it would seem to make the most sense to put the rest of Couple 1 and kids in BR3, which is adjacent to BR4. That leaves MB2 and BR5 for the other two couples.

In that scenario, the couple with the toddler can have the master and the childless couple has the loft space. Or it could be flip-flopped, though the middle couple is already playing the baby needs privacy card.

I also bring this up because it looks like couple 3 is getting BR3 next to the kids because couple 3 doesn't have kids. Even though couple 3 has paid more per person than the other two couples are. Given the cost of the condo, seems that money needs to be brought into the decision-making here and not just "you're the youngest, so you get last choice."

1. The other master goes to the parents with the 18 month old.

2. As the no-kids, you get what's left.

3. I don't see a huge money aspect here? If you got four hotel rooms the additional kids wouldn't matter either way towards costs so it really comes down to common sense scattering, no?

Here's my take:
Makes sense that the ones with the toddler get the other master, if the kid is staying with them, three in the bed. You should get the loft queen bed, since it is away from the kids. The parents with the older kids need to be close to their kids, so they get the twins with their kids in the bunkbeds.
