Wash U is in the UAA, which doesn't quite make the list.

So (obviously) I'll go with ACC. I have no official ties to UVA, but I'm a fan, but I DO have a degree from Duke, so it counts.

Last night, McGill won their first game since season opener in 2013.

10-3 over Bishop's!

For me the interesting - albeit pathetic - thing is that the story on the school's website was written by the same guy who wrote the game notes sheets for us when we broadcast the school's hockey, basketball and football games on campus radio... 30 years ago. There's a short story there somewhere.

I have to change mine, big sky just looks wrong. I'm a Big West man. Not like it matters or anyone cares. But it looks wrong.

Yeah - it's not like working in a sports information office at a large American school. Lovely campus, great location to work in the heart of a nice city.... but this is basically a minimum wage gig.

As a writer, when I see things like this, I take it as both a cautionary tale and as a reason to celebrate my good fortune.
