Question #1 was great. Knew them all but Croatia. A normal group of people, I'd have chosen Hungary or Albania, but you freaks know everything, so I went with my Father's side of the family's homeland. Belarus for the 1!

Yep, caused a lot of hassle when I went through my security clearance when I worked for the gubmint. Reading Cyrillic got me a couple, Greece was the only one written in Greek, which reads similar to Cyrillic; close enough that I can read it most of the time. I knew Hungarians are called Magyars, I've seen Albania somewhere, one of those things that immediately jumped out, but I have no idea why. Sweden probably because of watching international hockey. Austria and Lithuania sounded like the English words.

I surprised myself that I recognized the difference between Russian and Ukrainian, at least in the names of Ukraine and Belarus. I suck at languages, but I get the sense Russian is not that difficult, once you learn the alphabet. I would really like to visit for the World Cup, trying to make that happen.
