Can't really argue with any of those choices - well, I never saw Duke Slater play.
I just assumed that Harold Carmichael was already in the Hall.

Edge James waited longer than he should have.
My avatar corresponds on my place in the Swamp posting list with the all-time Home Run list. Tied with Mel Ott at Number 25 is Miguel Cabrera at 511.

At age 35 at induction, Calvin Johnson will be the second youngest ever inducted into the Pro Football Hall Of Fame (Gale Sayers, 34).
(Third-youngest? Barry Sanders.)

How do you all get your death notices since I left?
Re: NFL Hall of Fame Thread
Knew I was forgetting another older player. Yes, Barry would be fourth-youngest.

Pretty happy to see Lynch join Brooks and Sapp from that Bucs group. Would love to see Ronde in there with them as well.

Eli’s gonna make the HoF, isn’t he? Even though he wasn’t above replacement value for much of his career.

Winning two Super Bowls while playing in New York goes a long ways.sancarlos wrote: Wed Sep 18, 2024 9:00 pm Eli’s gonna make the HoF, isn’t he? Even though he wasn’t above replacement value for much of his career.

Playing in New York is the only difference between Eli and Jim Plunkett.

You only have to win one as a Jet.

Kind of mind-blowing that Barry Sanders is 9th or maybe 10th all-time in rushing TDs (99) but…
Most touchdowns in NFL history of:
10+ yards – 51 (Barry Sanders)
15+ yards – 41 (Barry Sanders)
20+ yards – 30 (Barry Sanders)
25+ yards – 27 (Barry Sanders)
30+ yards – 23 (Barry Sanders)

What a fun guy to watch. He’d have a few 1-yard runs in a row to lull you away, then he’d hit you with a 30-yard TD in which he embarrassed half the defense.brian wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 11:55 pm Kind of mind-blowing that Barry Sanders is 9th or maybe 10th all-time in rushing TDs (99) but…
