He's talented. Played well against bigger guys. I wouldn't begrudge the Browns taking him at all.
This made me laugh:
Matt Taibbi wrote:Mathieu only benched 4 reps at the combine, which is pathetic. You can pick any of the Kardashian girls at random, and she could probably do at least 5 reps. I'd still pick Mathieu if he was around after the third round because at the very least, he's going to be a top special-teamer and punt returner.
You can pick any of the swampers at random and they could probably do 0 reps
I've done 225 4 times. I my life, total. For whatever reason, I just plateaued right at 210 to be able to do a couple of sets. Usually did 185. Bar, one forty five and one twenty five on each side.

Biggest problem is weights are heavy.

You could even pick a 5'11", 178lb former marine that does marathon swims and bikes four hours a week and he'd do 0.

If he only used dumbbells.

I've lifted off and on for my entire adult life and I've never done 225. I think I maxed at 200. Granted, I haven't tried a max bench in about 20 years, but I doubt that anything would be different. I've picked it back up at the gym over the past couple of months, but I doubt I could max more than about 190.

I'm a weak motherfucker.

Crazy story. I know it is such a freak accident that it'll never happen to him again, but I'd have such a hard time getting back out there.

PFT is reporting that Kansas City will draft Eric Fisher No. 1 overall.

225 lbs is a lot. I can barely manage to bench my body weight. (190) Despite my workout habits, I'm not gaining in the "being able to lift more weight" category. (But then again, I'm not training for that.) By comparitive standards, I'm ridiculously weak.

I've paid such little attention to this offseason that I didn't know Andy Reid coached the Chiefs now.

Best draft decision they've made in about a decade.

No Mayock...there's nothing ironic at all about the fact that Jason Taylor played for the Dolphins.

That was awesome. All of the talking heads are sure as shit when the Raiders traded down, the 'Phins would take Lane Johnson.

Nope. Dion Jordan. And then Gruden goes in on him immediately like the Dolphins did that to spite everyone sitting around.

Everything but the player selections in the draft is more exciting than the actual picks.

They don't. But when they fail at basketball, they become reach picks.

I haven't said this for a while. And I swear it has nothing to do with the 2002 bowl or anything that happened before that. It was the old man's fault, not his fault.

But I really fucking hate Chuckie.

Well, if a freek injury didn't kill him, Oakland will.

So I decided to look at the draft board and was quickly reminded that I don't know who a single player is, so it means absolutely nothing to me. Kind of sucks, because i used to love the draft, and at least heard of all of the first rounders. I see the Jets picked up a Corner, which is a bit disappointing, as I think Kyle Wilson is good enough to start as a second corner. Is This Milliner guy special? I'm sure the Jets fans booed the pick regardless.

Torn inferior vena cava. Never heard of that in football. Or any other sport other than NASCAR.

They just took Sheldon RIchardson. All the Jets fans looked around puzzled. What does that say?

Same. Old. Jets. So basically the Jets have a mediocre, shaky QB with one receiver, no TE and RBs. Seriously, no RBs capable of carrying the ball, and not 1 TE capable of catching the ball. Other than Santonio Holmes who obviously has a lot of talent but is a locker room cancer and had to be benched for causing a fight in the huddle with 1 minute left in the season with the playoffs still on the line, so a character guy. Stephen Hill showed some flashes of talent, but injuries held him to 252 yards as a rookie. So that is the Jets entire offense. Yeah, Rex is going to need to hold opponents to single digits if he wants to win any games this year.

I guess there aren't good RBs coming out this year, huh? But, at least I don't have to root for Teo, unless he makes it into the second round.

They had their pick in in about 12 seconds. I'm saying the tight end from UND.
