Those were awesome by the way but I haven't seen them in years. Are they still available?

Thank you GC and GC only.

(Everything is scratch and I really don't feel like frying so I'm not. I play by my own rules which and my own rules are approved by GC.)

My favorite po boy is from Darrell's in Lake Charles, and their shrimp is grilled.

I did a remoulade. The bread obviously didn't come out just right but worked enough. House smells like oil still.

I wasn't going to try it because it didn't seem to stand out relative to the seafood options but I was very wrong. Always trust the locals.

I just gave up red meat for Lent (St. Patrick's Day is my cheat day for homemade corned beef). I told my wife this last night, and this morning, my email has a recipe from NYT Cooking for Turkey Meatloaf.

What do you miss most? It’s counter-intuitive since there are all types of subs, but hot dogs were the worst during our 16 months of abstinence.

Certain preparations for sure... bulgogi, carne asada, al pastor

Really don't ever hanker for steak, ribs, bbq, or 'cuts'. Love the smell of bacon and other cured meats but oddly don't feel like I need to eat them.

Ha ... I did bulgogi chicken when we were out and it was "not the same".

I think I'd miss burgers the most.
