First time I’m watching an episode of No Reservations since and he’s just such a massive loss. Attitude of the right and heart of the left and you’d have to work to not see it’s not a coin flip.

Just watched the 'Roadrunner' doc on CNN. (They had been advertising it for a few Sunday nights, but that pesky Russia/Ukraine war kept preempting it.) It's worth watching. As I've said before in many other threads, I care more about writers/directors than onscreen talent. But occasionally, I'm drawn to a face or a voice. With Bourdain, I get all of it. Man, I miss him.
Great soundtrack, by the way. A Television song early on. Then David Chang played Bourdain's favorite song, said that it was 'a junkie song' as they talked about Bourdain's heroin use. I knew the song, but didn't recognize it right away. No onscreen credit, so I had to look it up.
The Brian Jonestown Massacre! Wow, that brings back memories.
A few musician cameos, including Allison Mosshart. She was in The Dead Weather, which featured Jack White on drums. I caught White's drumstick in Columbus with Bensell standing next to me. Yep, memories.

Old guy take, but I can not even come close to understanding why someone would cover their entire forearm with a caricature of a TV celebrity.

Ordinarily I'd agree, but the fact they put a bowl of Pho in his hands makes it perfect.
