That's funny. I saw it was on one of the Starz channels a couple weeks ago when DirecTV graced us with a couple weeks of the Start networks a few weeks ago and DVR'd it for this project.
I recorded a few other selections for this, as well.
ETA: Let me know if I should mention some of the other movies should there be interest in recording some of them.

At the time I believe this was the highest-ever fee paid to a screenwriter to Joe Esterhaus (sp?). Worth every penny, MGM.

A little bit of insider Las Vegas movie trivia -- most movies set in Las Vegas were filmed at the Riviera because it had no theme and therefore could stand in for "any Las Vegas casino". In later years they aggressively courted productions as a way to make money.

The Peppermill! Always worth a visit when you're on the Strip. It's like stepping back into the 60s. Somehow, they've managed to not make that clear here.

As ridiculous as this show is, there are still productions similar to this in Vegas -- maybe a half-dozen or so at a given time.

I knew exactly, and have known exactly, ZERO women in 50 years on this earth who dreamed of dancing on-stage in Vegas. Like, this is her fucking dream and stuff, and it is just so bizarre. Esterhaus had to have been so blitzed on coke the entire time he was writing this.

Yeah, they're making this a career to aspire to when it's a fourth choice for women who can't make it as a legit dancer on Broadway who end up with Eastern European boyfriends who sell coke in Vegas.
