Let’s just say that Josh Allen has this entire 4PM window to himself today.
Re: NFL Week 4 (2020) - Old Flacco v Young Rypien
That said, this is a very pleasant display of the primary colors in Los Angeles.
Re: NFL Week 4 (2020) - Old Flacco v Young Rypien
Same. I guess when you try to recover it (as the blocking team tried) and don't, the ball is now "live" again and can advance.degenerasian wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 3:20 pmI didn't think that was allowed, you can't advance a block FG.Johnnie wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 3:12 pm I've never seen this before.
Cleveland gets the XP blocked after a wild touchdown by OBJ.
But since Dallas touched the ball after it crossed the line of scrimmage on the block (instead of leaving the dead ball alone) and it was recovered in the end zone by the Browns, it's a 2 pt conversion.
Not a lot of upside to doing anything on the extra point try unless there's a clear line to the end zone 98 yards the other way for the single point if you're the defending team.

You cannot advance it. THat is true. Cleveland recovered in end zone.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Also, I was there today. Totally worth the trip. I was in the north end zone with good vantage point of burrow’s throws. I don’t know what he sees on some of those.

Completely missed that Jason Witten is a Raider.

How many Belichick assistants will get fired this season. Short of miracle turnarounds, O’Brien and Patricia are already cooked.

Josh Allen has been amazing and I've already thrown in the towel on that prediction. But that catch by Diggs is what Josh Allen had been lacking before this year - Diggs turns incompletions and interceptions into receptions.
This kinda shit where the WR just decides "no, this is a completion".

So Dallas, Washington and New York all lost again. Philly should go for another tie, park the bus from the opening kickoff.

The winner of that division wouldn’t get to 6 wins if they didn’t all play each other twice.degenerasian wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 7:06 pm So Dallas, Washington and New York all lost again. Philly should go for another tie, park the bus from the opening kickoff.

Allen's rookie year saw the Bills with one of the worst receiving corps in the league. Brandon Beane has done an amazing job building this offence.
I am on cloud 9 - between this game, Spurs destruction of Man U and the Browns insane win, this was a day to remember.

Not about to defend the trade, but Stills wasn't the main piece. It was Laremy Tunsil.

Re: NFL Week 4 (2020) - Old Flacco v Young Rypien
I am certain that having him as a cornerstone in fantasy football for the last few years is coloring this opinion, but George Kittle is one of the five most fun NFL players to watch. His combination of speed and strength displayed through cutbacks, stiff arms, and flat-out trucking people is almost intoxicating. The ugly-ass screen pass at :44 in this clip, man...
When's the last time you saw someone stiff-arm a defender into another defender, then stiff-arm another guy in his chest?
A couple podcasts I listen to have noted that the running backs SF keeps churning through are pure speed guys (Mostert, Brieda, McKinnon). I have come to think Shanahan's offense is built around just two things: strong offensive run-blocking (including Juszczyk at fullback), and speed at the skill positions (Kittle is where these two intersect - a devastating blocker who has way too much athleticism in the open field for most defenders). Basically, their run plays and screen passes seem designed to simply clear a path for the fast guy to take a straight line to the end zone and they throw either short passes in open space or deep shots to create big plays.
I know this sounds like rudimentary stuff, but they don't care as much about the other parts of their running backs' and wide receivers' games. Even the wide receivers they haven't really developed are burners, such as Marquise Goodwin and Dante Pettis. They brought in Mohamed Sanu this season, but he is one of the best blocking WRs in the league and offsets his lack of usage in the pass game (40 snaps and one target in three games).

Lions haven’t won a division title in 27 years. I wasn’t old enough to legally drink to celebrate it. Next guy to do it probably gets a lifetime contract.

If he accepts a job with the Cardinals in the next week, the Hopkins trade will finally make sense.
