A disputed fumble recovery was the right way for that to end.
McCarthy’s gonna make them snap twice. Bro you’re not the Eagles

Re: NFL Week 17
You think Gallman only fumbled because he was in two minds on whether to go down or not and the ball slipped out? A normal play he just keeps running.
Also the Cowboys lost because they didn't challenge the Pettis catch on the previous drive.

Re: NFL Week 17
And that was one gruesome loss.
Still, Bills put up 56 against a top defense (and destroy the Dolphins' hopes in the process) and finish 13-3.
ETA: Tua looks like shit. Makes me very happy...
Browns go 11-5 and make the playoffs.
I don;t know what to do with myself.

meanwhile, Packers challenge the opening kickoff. Patterson steps out of bounds and touches ball. It's deemed a kick out of bounds and the Bears get the ball at the 40. I didn't know that was a rule.

That’s what happened at the end of the Pats-Panthers Super Bowl.degenerasian wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 4:37 pm meanwhile, Packers challenge the opening kickoff. I agree. I hope the world swallows both of your teams next week since that didn’t happen today.

Murray limps off the field. Cards-Rams is now a former CFL QB versus an undrafted rookie for a playoff spot.

That should have been overturned. Just a dumb risk taken by Patterson.degenerasian wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 4:37 pm meanwhile, Packers challenge the opening kickoff. I feel like this has happened before and it was the packers that did it. Randall Cobb?DSafetyGuy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 4:45 pmThat should have been overturned. Re: NFL Week 17
Whole bunch of coaches going to get canned tomorrow.
Vic Fangio has to be one of them. Calls back to back timeouts with 24 seconds left and the Raiders "setting" up for a 2 point attempt to win the game.
"Setting" up because the Raiders looked unsure at first whether to go for two or go for the tie. Time out Denver.
Then Vegas had the wrong players sent in and Carr is looking around wondering why his best receiver just left the field.
Vegas had no time outs and were so messed up that if Fangio didn't call the 2nd time out, they probably wouldn't have got the 2 point attempt off.
So Denver gets the ball back down 1 with 22 seconds left and no time outs. End up trying a 63 yard field goal and having it blocked. But even then, they still had time for another sideline pattern to try and gain 10 yards or so.
Horrible.
ETA: It happened when the Raiders were at 4th and goal and down 6.

That was the weirdest sequence of "are we gonna be out of the playoffs?" --> "Cool we're in the playoffs" --> "shit, we're gonna win the division" --> "well overtime is cool" ---> "Fucking Tannehill" ---> "Cool we're in the playoffs"

That jet sweep (or the like) inside the ten where the ballcarrier reversed field and Smith stepped up like he was going to throw a block just before the tackle...
I can really do without that.

Re: NFL Week 17
Weird week.
The one I call "line" just compared the two teams and sets the line where I would expect it to be based on which team is better. It does not account for injuries or teams laying down or who has been playing well or poorly or anything like that. Ie Arizona was favored by 3 over the Rams, while looking at both teams all season I would expect the Rams to be favored by 8, so that's a strong bet in the projection. It doesn't account for John Wolford.
Since most teams played pretty hard yesterday, that's probably to be expected. I bet off the projections though, particularly where both methods agree.
