Why are 130 yd shots in the middle of the fairway on this course different than otherd. Guys can even hit the green.

Hey, it's hard hitting golf shots with batteries whizzing by your head.

I was half a hole behind and figured he would bogey one of the last two. Great play by Rose. Would be surprised if either guy matches +1. Fun final round. Love this golf course.

I like to imagine AB running around Lexington giving hi-5s to strangers when Mickelson comes up short like he did again yesterday.

I think it's because it's only when he loses that he seems sincere.

Well, I missed on the winner (Westwood), but I nailed the runer up (Mickelson)!

They replayed the final round this morning and I watched some of it getting ready for work. I still don't get why the course was so hard.

I understand the greens being deceptive and difficult and the rough, bunkers and creeks heavily penalizing players.

But again I don't understand players of this calibre missing 100-130 yard approaches from the middle of the fairway on flat lies. I don't know much about golf, isn't a 100 yd shot from the fairway the same regardless of what course it is. Players should be within 10-15 feet of the hole, not missing entire greens. Is hitting irons off the tee safety into the fairway and then a wedge onto the green that difficult for these guys?

It is when the landing areas are so severe. You can't just aim 15 feet right and be good like on a lot of courses. The undulations mean that to get it to stop that far away it might mean you have to hit it 45 feet from that spot and have it roll forward or back. You can't just fire at the wicker, no matter where you are in the fairway.

Did you see the hole in one? He hit a TERRIBLE shot but just happened to get a bounce that worked.

Every story from now on... "You wanna hear about the time I made a hole in one when I missed the green?"
