He had the bad timing of coming while the Wilson BS is in everyone's minds. League might also feel comfortable dropping the hammer because of how good Colorado is (NEITHER should factor in, of course, but this is the NH-Fucking-L).

So I'm gonna say 6 games, MAYBE even 8.

I say they call it "rest of the playoffs" knowing damn well that's two games

Unless you know of something really bad about to go down, there's no way for 2 games to be the rest of Kadri's playoffs.

Kind of hard to believe the Leafs are playing the Canadiens in the playoffs for the first time in my life. Not in my literal life but don’t remember much from when I was 5.

Tavares does not look good. TV here is shitty. Was that a knee to the head?

I don’t fully understand what happened. Was he trying to get himself up or was something so bad the trainer had to take the chance of moving him that way?

Dunno. That was scary though. He was obviously out of it. If it was Game 7 and Toronto was down 3-0 would have been a five-minute major.

Sportsnet never showed a replay of that moment but i figured he probably said he could get up and the trainer went with it until Tavares lost it. Maybe there's like a phase before the effects kick in when you feel like you're ok?

I don’t think so. It looked more like the trainer decided he had to keep Tavares down or hold his neck and prioritized the latter?

Yeah it did seem like Tavares was hell bent on getting up for some reason.

I don't understand the fight afterwards. Is Corey Perry supposed to be answering for something? I mean the Leafs couldn't actually think that was intentional right? Granted they might not have been able to see a replay. But if Perry somehow did that on purpose that's like the dirtiest play... literally ever?

How did I never notice during the regular season that you just have to shoot it over Jarry's left shoulder and it's a goal?

Another great game in Florida. Panthers tie it 5-5 with 3 minutes left. Looking like OT

And, Montreal would give up four goals on the power play?

When it’s Perry, one usually just assumes it was a deliberately dirty hit.

What is it with NY teams that they can’t play a game in a normal amount of time. This NYI/PIT game gonna be longest 3-period game (hopefully!) in history.

I hope jlo was being slightly sarcastic. Maybe you were, too. I CAN’T TELL RIGHT NOW

Had the islanders broadcast preempt NBCSN tonight locally. I think they do a pretty good job, even if Butch was a little whiny about the way icing was called tonight. Always preferred then tot the NYR guys.

That 2nd period from the VGK is about as dominating as is possible against a good team like Minnesota. Like I’ve seen dominating periods before obvs but one of the best 6 or teams on the planet was made to look ridiculous for 20 minutes.

Kadri gets 8 games, which is pretty significant, but fair given his rap sheet.
