Right? Like, you see certain countries at the Olympics or whatever and you're like "Huh, Moldova sounds like a made up country in my wife's Hallmark/Netflix movies about a 'princess' or some shit like that" and you move on.

That shit is bonkers.

I might only know that Moldova exists due to Sporcle quizzes.

My wife's cousin married a woman from Moldova. He is 6 ft 130 pounds, red hair, pale as fuck and looks painfully nerdy. I've never actually met him. From pictures, his wife seemed hot. I asked if he found her in a catalog, my wife didn't find it funny.

If I’m being honest, I watched that last night and thought “how is that anything compared to Rodri’s last weekend” because I believed it bounced and/or rolled it’s way in. Thought redacted.

Underspin connecting down from middle of ball to bottom half. Guys mishit volleys and hit long floaters with that spin that just stick to feet in the air 40 yards away. I'd say easier to pull off because it was bouncing and had time to wait on the hop. Spin acted like a skipping stone when it hit the ground between defenders legs. Probably helps to have perfectly damp grass. Goalie was very late to react. Assume he was screened but definitely could have gotten there if he moved left immediately.

His shot definitely skips off the turf. Right in the middle of the D.

I watched several times trying to figure out if it skipped off the ground. One angle looked like it did, one looks like it may not have. Either way, incredible how long it stayed at one height.

This feels like an incredibly NHL thing to do, except they would take a week to agree to get it fixed.

What is French for "Spursy?"

If Neymar is on a team, it is always a pleasure to watch it lose.

From Barney Ronay in the Guardian:
This was, with all due apologies to the supporters of PSG in its own twisted way an oddly life-affirming humiliation.

If the blue of these Atletico kits were just a little more baby blue, they would be perfect. The striped collar and sleeve is fantastic.

Hey Bayern, if you focused as much on netting a goal as you do on the time-wasting, maybe you wouldn’t have to worry so much about the latter. Jus’ sayin’.

Some controversy if Bayern go through based on the fact there’s a decent argument that their first goal was scored by someone who should have been sent off in the first half.
