do you actually believe shit like this or do you say these things in a lame attempt at trolling?

Daryl Morey and the rest of the Sixers’ brass is somehow making Ben Simmons the sympathetic party. Even I’m in Ben’s corner.

The dude showed up to practice with a cell phone and sweats while everyone else did what theyre paid to do. I can appreciate the humor and the result that doesn't make it right. This guy actually believes the bullshit. Everyone isn't mentally impaired. Some people are just self centered.

Osaka, Price, and Biles all clearly have/are dealing with mental health issues. They’ve all sought professional help. Simmons just doesn’t want to play for his team. Different.

And why exactly are Biles and Osaka exempt from questioning? Something to be said for not questioning but then you accept bullshit like Simmons.

And why do we accept mental deficiencies when we would never accept physical limitations. If someone couldn't hit a backhand or stick a landing (or a jumper) they would be cast aside without a second thought.

If Simmons is having a personal breakdown and is acting out in this way, then I hope he receives professional help and can quickly get back to basketball.

If Simmons is using mental health as a cover for self-centered fuckery, he's a piece of shit that needs the taste slapped out of his mouth.

I'm going to wait until I know more before jumping to a conclusion, but it's either one of those responses for me.

It's like people who go online and get a certificate to make their Pomeranians "service dogs" because they are so in love with themselves they cannot possibly be inconvenienced when traveling.

Service dogs are extremely important. But to get actual certification requires a very long, arduous process and years of training to make sure the dog and the person can coexist together, amongst other things.

I don't think Simmons has ever claimed there's a mental health issue only solved by leaving Philadelphia (althought that would be fair ha ha ha!!!), he said he wasn't mentally prepared to play. That's a world of difference and the only bridge from one world to the other so far is a piece of shit like Eskin.

3 Things on the 75 list:

1. I've seen play with my own eyes either 45 or 46 of them play (as I'm sure I watched the '86 Finals, but I don't quite remember Walton coming off the bench then), which should probably go in the "Feels Old" thread.

2. It looks like they took the top 50 from the 1996 list and just added 25 dudes. Which is pretty suspect, if some of the snubs don't rank higher than Dolph Schayes.

3. Regarding snubs, I'm seeing a lot of digital ink for Dwight Howard, but Dwight Howard is annoying as shit. I'm fine with him sitting off. I'm more questioning not including Tracy McGrady, specifically putting Dame in instead of T-Mac (and FTR, I'm as big a Dame fan as we all are). For about a four or five year stretch he was arguably the best wing on the planet. And his 2003 season was really something else. He led the league in scoring, and he also led his team in rebounding, assists, blocks, and steals. Has that ever happened before? Maybe Wilt?

I wonder how we would look at several of the non-Bill Russell Celtics of the 1950's-60's if they had played on other teams. For example, it's hard to get excited about Bill Sharman finishing in the top 20 of several statistics in a ten-team league when his closest similarity comps are Hersey Hawkins and Steve Smith.

I didn't pay that much attention to this list, but Dame getting in over T-Mac is absurd. I feel like the media's expectations for him is way lower than most other NBA players.

So the Capital City Go Go's (NBA G- League in DC) signs Pat Spencer. Pat played one year at Northwestern after being the best lacrosse player in the country for Loyola (Heisman equivalent). He has played in Europe. Interesting to see if he can crack the Wiz roster. He played lacrosse and hoops at Boys Latin in Baltimore. Wiz coach played at a school in their conference before going to JHU.

Are the Wizards for real? How did Wes Unseld Jr get the team to actually paly defense after years of not figuring it out. Best start since 1970. I don't think people in the DMV know how to deal with this.

John Konchar, undrafted from IU/PU-Fort Wayne (go Mastadons) three years ago, 6'5" shooting guard, has made unreal leaps for Memphis. Last night 15 points and 17 boards off the bench as Memphis got to 11 wins in a row. And...it turns out, he's hilarious. DUNKSHOTS for everyone...
