My advice is to start the cleanse early. You want to be sure you’re completely done with the process before you leave your home!

I can't imagine still having anything in my body after doing my cleanse, at least to the point of feeling the need to start the clock early. Obviously, based on the posted experiences here, there is variance between products used, but when it slowed down/stopped for me, the concept of anything else happening seemed a borderline impossibility.

So how often did y'all poop? I am concerned that it's not as much as I was expecting. Maybe 8 total times and none lasting more than 5 minutes really I did mess up the mix and added four extra oz. of Gatorade. I also didn't eat a whole lot on Wednesday, and shat a couple times and just ate the toast yesterday morning.

My experience is it's pretty bad for a bit but it cleans you out pretty fast. So this doesn't seem aptypical.

Hit 45 at the end of last year so the appointment was just made. Their first opening was May 30th, which is the day after Memorial Day. Knowing from this thread all that goes into a colonoscopy, I respectfully declined "so I didn't have to take another day off from work that week" but thought that there's no way in hell I was ruining a big holiday/bbq/drinking weekend to prep for this. Now scheduled for a Wednesday in June.

meant to come in here earlier, but stuff happens.

appointment got moved up from 2p to 1230p

no mix.. just lots of tablets, 14 last night and 12 this morning. a bit uncomfortable and hungry as all heck since i last ate at 7a yesterday. overall not as horrible experience (so far) and i'm pretty cleaned out.

got our schedule mixed up so the missus and boy are off to LI for a scheduled school visit -- i'll be ubering back and forth (although it is off 22 so i could call Syb or Rass!)

so i Ubered there.. and they were prepared to let me Uber home..
the missus wasn't going to make it, but a local buddy was free and picked me up.
teh nurse walked me out to the car and made sure i got in the passenger seat.. she said she would have done the same had i Ubered home.

all in all.. i was waiting in my gown longer than the whole procedure and recovery took.
best news... next visit is in ten years. doc said i was in great shape.
of the six pounds i lost sunday to monday.. as of lunch today i had gained 4 back... must have been the ribeye i celebrated with (along wtih tea.. alcohol back on the menu tonight)

so week and a half after getting cleaned out and cleared for a decade... picked up some sort of bug.
lost another 6lbs over 48hrs..
a few days of CIPRO got me right as rain.

not the best way to lose 10 lbs (i did gain some back in between both issues).. but so far have kept them off (and did have a bunch of beers and steaks and chorizo, morcilla this past weekend)

with humid afternoons becoming less o a thing, back to the long walks w dog and strollers... so maybe i'll see the other side of 200 sooner rather than later.. certainly feel better running on the pitch for 90mins now..

So I'm finally getting around to my first one of these. The dates they are offering me are within 8 days after Thanksgiving. I know there's a certain amount of prep up to 7 days in advance. Will that be a problem with Thanksgiving (and the few days after with all the delicious turkey sandwiches)? Should I go for something a bit later?

I think you should be good. I didn't stop eating solids until like 36 hours before I think.

EDIT: Here is the prep I used where you start cutting out certain foods three days before.

surprisinngly after my adventure this summer (followed a week later w a stomach bug) i have kept the weight off -- down to 212.. no other significant change in lifestyle (i did start lifting again now that im cleared by the doc for the arm repair) except chasing after a toddler several days a week is certainly keeping me moving.

I originally wanted to schedule mine for first thing in the morning so I didn't have to go nearly 2 days without eating but my sister advised me to get it done in the afternoon so I don't have wake up in the middle of the night to drink four-hour-before stuff.

With how much technology has advanced you'd think there would be a better/easier/less inconvenient way to do this.

Two weeks ago, a good friend of mine went through the whole clear out process (and live texted it to us in a group chat) only to show up and they didn't have him on the colonoscopy schedule, only the prep schedule. Then they called him back about 30 minutes after he walked out of the office angrily and said, "we can fit you in if you haven't eaten anything". He'd eaten something in the meantime.
