Fucking finally called a false start on that KC O-lineman....on a 4th & 20.
And they go for it on 4th & 25 regardless.
Can someone explain the big brain move from the Chiefs there?
Hubris?
If not that then Reid’s complete acknowledgment that if KC punted it there, even with all their timeouts and the two minute warning, that his defense wasn’t going to be able to stop the lions front from being able to open enough space for three runs to convert the first down so he took the chance at a PI or defensive hold or a miracle conversion instead.

I thought letting Mahomes try a miracle play had a better chance of success, albeit a miniscule one, than punting and hoping. If anything, the coaching decisions that were most damning was calling any play where Kadarious Toney was the primary receiver.

I'm not going to take away from the Lions by suggesting that the Chiefs gave them that game. I am going to suggest however that both teams sucked and all the props for Jared Goff for being painfully mediocre are hurting my brain.

I'm wondering just when he got this. It takes roughly 2 weeks for them to fully heal. You have to treat them like a sunburn. Going to the gym is ok, but full contact sports isn't.

yup. the Chiefs lost by one point while playing their worst offensive game since Week 3 of the 2022 season when they lost to a far inferior opponent than Thursday night
Week 1 overreaction is always wild -- especially on the Thursday night game -- but it's still jarring. they were one wide-open drop from likely winning that game with a game-winning field goal. and if that pass is caught and they win, the problems on display with drops and the way that routes were run throughout the game don't suddenly disappear either.
eta: it's overlooked in all the drops, but the route Toney ran over the middle two plays before the pick-six tied the game was just brutal. he is so open in the middle of the zone and instead of sitting hard, he drifted and let Campbell break the pass up. I haven't watched any all-22 (and may not be able to) but things like that happened at least a few times over the course of the night with various receivers

11 hours for the tattooing? I don’t have tattoos and don’t know much of anything about the subject. But, that seems like an awfully long time for the process?

The longest I've ever sat in a chair all the way through is 10 hours. And I've done that twice.
It really comes down to the technical skill of the artist and the style of tattooing they are doing.
The greater the detail, the more time taken. The more skin covered, the more time taken.

I went with Seattle for survivor over the Rams. I would like to think Seattle at home against a Rams team without Kupp can make this happen with some ease.

I legitimately think Arizona can go 0-17. Which is crazy since they were the last undefeated team just two years ago.

I feel like Washington is the play this week in Survivor. They're decidedly middle-of-the-road, but Arizona are wretched and likely tanking, and playing in the early slot. Rain might make it a little bit of a wild card, but this feels pretty safe.
This isn't going to age well.

I had the Ravens all week, but something made me nervous about that game.

So I switched to Minnesota.
Damn!

Fox NY mercifully switched off the Steelers game and all I saw was Richardson lowering his shoulder and running every play and yup he seemed to get banged up.
Pats should have kicked the field goal when down by 8. At least the offense looked competent with two rookie offensive linemen against that great pass rush. Seeing the improvement of Mac Jones, Hunter Henry, and Bourne is enough to get Matt Patricia fired again. The defense could be really good.
Daniel Jones has got a “deer in the headlights” vibe tonight. I think partly because his o-line is a sieve. And, partly because he doesn’t seem to have a “feel” for when he needs to throw or scramble, before getting hit.

Literally, as a miserable Bengals fan this AM, taking solace in sharing the misery with others. What a fucking shit show for the Seahawks, Steelers, Bengals, and Giants fans in particular. Just...fuck. Bears fans too, I suppose. Vikings fans. Especially for Seahawks, Bengals, Giants and Bears fan - getting rolled by a hated division rival makes it extra shitty.
Hell, even in winning the Ravens offense wasn't great (to be expected) but losing Dobbins and two lineman and a S makes that victory kinda pricy.
