Was there some sort of power outage? My radio feed mentioned it then got super fuzzy.

Yeah, brief, but it turned off the lights. Took 15-20 minutes for the lights to warm up and come back on. Neither starting pitcher seemed to miss a beat.

Definitely a huge issue when the lights go out in the middle of an afternoon game.

I had to answer the door to accept a package (Barry Zito jersey). I missed something. What the hell is Austin Jackson doing on base?

Was looking at the series odds and Vegas has it dead nuts even right now. Sox and Tigers both -110. Sounds about right to me.

What is Victorino doing? This switching right-left stuff is annoying.

ETA: All Tigers should use that bat.

ETAA: Brakes are shot on that dude.

ETAAA: How do you get to 21 years old and the major fucking leagues, and not know the basics of running the bases? Sure 21 is young. But not for something I and all my peers knew at 15.

The Detroit TiGIDPers.

I found it most annoying that Cabrera laid off the first outside pitch, but not the second after getting suckered by him on outside stuff in Game 3.

Can't get rid of the idiotic Comet Cursor virus with which FOX seems to have been infected but I've had it locked on WXYT outta Detroit for audio. No way in hell can I endure McCarver; he's completely lost at sea, senseless and likely dementia-drooling on himself between commenting on whatever he's hallucinating.

McCarver has never bothered me for the 25 years I've listened to him. He just states the basics and pretty much lets Buck run the show. He doesn't even say that much anymore.

he didn't say a word that entire 3rd out

Very courteous of Peralta to fight back from a 3-1 count by swinging and missing at two pitches well off the plate.

He wasn't getting Middlebrooks unless he opted not to pirouette and go with the direct route to him.

Did the umpire think he was supposed to cover third on that play?

And Middlebrooks should've jumped up and raced Pena to the plate.

ETA: Brilliant theft by Middlebrooks. Fielder did not hesitate, made an ok throw, not great but not bad, and runner was there in plenty of time.

ETAA: why the intentional walk if you have no intention of preventing his stealing second?

I cannot even fathom how one can come to this conclusion. McCarver says 3-4 completely inane things a game. At one point, he said three things in a row that he had to correct himself on, including an anecdote about Mickey Mantle that he claimed came straight form the horses mouth, but yet he fucked up all the details.

I'm just waiting for Verlander to retire so they can take McCarver out and shoot him.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.
