Especially after living in Newark for three years, I've always had a soft spot for the Motor City. A great American city that's given a hell of a lot more than they get credit for.

What is it about race? That's so silly. Watch the numbers come back that Trump got more of the black vote in Detroit.

Sure, but we've got to get race out of our heads. The Democrats won this election on everyone under 30, the most progressive group in the country. They should now be running on that for decades.

Maricopa says 9pm for first data drop, 12:30a for the second.

ETA - Sorry, I think that is beyond just Maricopa, but statewide.

Trump is absolutely losing his mind, well losing it more than it already was. It's over. Fox News wants nothing to do with him because he keeps calling and yelling at them, GOP will want nothing to do with him, cause hey, they had a good night. He'll be forgotten in a few months, finally.

Because of the rancor Clark County has announced they're going to drop more data tonight as well. If those two drops don't contain anything exceptionally pro-Trump, Biden might be declared winner as soon as tonight.

I’ve been saying this for years but there is no more over-represented group in media than “anti-Trump Republicans.” It’s a fun fantasy to say “Trump isn’t a real Republican” but the data has always shown that almost all Republican voters love the guy, and not just dumb hicks in Appalachia. Take the Lincoln Project, for example - they raised a ton of money and admittedly made slick ads, but the Senators they targeted (McConnell, Graham, Collins) all cruised to victory. It’s all just preaching to the choir and there still no evidence that it works at persuading people who would otherwise vote Republican.

They called it last night. There was great hoopla surrounding it because it destroyed Trump's ability to claim victory early.

The dude who called it said by it too. It was great to watch.

Then the AP followed suit at like 3am.

What we're waiting on is CNN and everyone else to join the party.

I would like to see someone break down Texas a bit.. I know Biden is down 600K votes, but if you look at the map. There is a ton of blue areas not at 100% and Tarrant County which was going for Biden was said to have 500K votes still needing to be counted. Harris County, Hidalgo County, Bexar County all have at least 25% still out.

I know it's a long shot.

So, I'm still on Trump's mailing list. It is predictably awful.

Is it petty for me to respond to every email with "loser"?

More than giving him the finger, I think just calling him a loser to his face would be most hurtful.

It's so crazy these accusations. If there was really cheating and ballot stuffing the Democrats would have won the Senate.

If it weren't for COVID and the mail in votes this would be a pretty normal close election. People defeating an unpopular president but not excited enough to give Biden everything. In states with Senate races, some undecideds may have split the ballot, R for House and Senate but D or blank of President. Someone like John Kasich!

Been saying for quite some time: When a solid 30 to 40 percent get Fox News into their veins, we are fucked as a country. I truly thought this year that Trump was so historically bad that ppl might ignore the channel... I was wrong.

brian has it right. Because I am privileged, I'm gonna be just fine. But my itch to leave this country behind is quite strong at this point.

So would all this be easier to withstand mentally if we were huge cricket fans? In test cricket the team batting first just racks up hundreds of runs for like a day and a half, before the other team gets a day and a half to rack up hundreds of runs.

I think that’d be good training for US presidential elections.
