3 horse race for the final playoff spot in the west.

Flames 63 games, 70 points
Canucks 64 games, 69 points
Blues 65 games, 69 points

Canucks at Flames tonight is the biggest game of the year.

Dude. My horse is very dark, and sitting way back, but it’s in the race.

Utah? It's going to be tough, at 67 points have to jump 3 teams and they don't have the tiebreaker.

I know. I don’t really expect that to happen, for those reasons. And I’m not stressed about it either way.

But you never know.

It’s been awhile since the Rangers and the Bruins both missed the playoffs in the same season.

Adin Hill gets 6x6.25M.

Not psyched about the term but not a bad price for a top 10 goalie. If they get three or even four more good years out of him eating the last two not a big deal. (VGK has still never had to buyout a contract.)

This Utah-Tampa game has been a barnburner.

5-4 in the third. Utah has had two goals chalked off.

Utah has played themselves into the race. Feels like everyone in the west is on fire.

Edmonton has to be careful. No McDavid or Draiseitl the next few games.

They blew a late lead against Seattle last week. That could end up being the difference for them.

Its less cute when you remember he's one of those RFK loving dipshits. And that's a biiiiiiig contract for a guy who always seems to be on the cusp of being a legit #1 but not actually being one. Seth Jones-y.

Last night, Nikita Kucherov passed Ovechkin for most 100 point seasons by a Russian.

Torts wasn't necessarily the problem, but he wasn't the solution either. Those deck chairs look better over here, where the moonlight reflecting off the iceberg makes them a bright spot.

He was always the wrong coach for the phase of that organization's life cycle. In his last post-game press conference he admitted he didn't know how to coach the team under its current circumstances. Basically told the Flyers to fire him.

I think he is best with veteran teams that need a push to get over the edge and be consistent. Rangers fit this bill.

Tonight is Sergachev returns night at Amalie. I try to make as many of those as possible. Sergy was one of my favorite Bolts, so I was definitely not missing this one. Great start.

Quite the beat down. Sergy got a great ovation as well. There was no way the Bolts weren't coming out all guns blazing after losing in SLC last week.

Seems like some kind of cognitive dissonance to shit on guys like Tiger Woods for buddying up to Trump and giving Ovechkin a pass for being buddies with Putin.

I dunno. I’m more concerned about my country’s government than Russia’s. And Woods giving Trump legitimacy is more damaging here than anything Ovechkin may say about Putin.

Ovi apparently took Ryan Leonard out to dinner/bar on Monday. Think Leonard crashed at his college place or team hotel on Monday?
Leonard got jersey #9 and 14 minutes of ice team last night. And Ovi made it 891 goals for Leonard to catch him.
