Its explicitly not a baseball term and I'm pretty sure there was no deeper meaning to that lyric, right?

I recall that he had some electric stuff. Surprising to me he bounced around as much as he did.

I only knew him as a Met. He played his rookie year on the Mets, then I count 15 more teams in 13 years? Wild, gas to be a reason. Was he good but can asshole or something?

First two times he was dealt were massive trades; Hampton to the Mets and "the Carlos Beltran trade".

The musical act at the time was Rubby Perez. Apparently he died as well. A couple of sources say he was the brother of Neifi Perez - not sure if that’s accurate.

Yeah, the MLB announcement mentioned her. Apparently she was a governor of Monte Cristi, a nearby province.

Also, Nelson's sister was named Nelsy?

Like the former Ravens assistant coach, having the last name of Martindale immediately confers the nickname “Wink”, right?

Mike DeBord, former Michigan assistant and CMU head coach. Maybe the worst CMU head coach in program history, certainly in the last 70 years.

Mike Patrick (ESPN)

ETA: after reading where he was born and where he started his career I texted my uncle (who worked in radio broadcasting and lives in the state where Patrick was born and was born in the town where Patrick started his career) and he knew him as mentor and a really good guy

Not sure I knew his name prior to 48 minutes ago but the radio station I’m listening to is spending the 6PM (local) hour playing cuts he worked on and banger after banger.
