I had forgotten Keuchel was still unsigned. Jesus.

Depending on the ask, him and Kimbrel being unsigned isn't that big of a deal. Both have numbers that a smart team would avoid giving term to.

Why people who whine that pre-FA players who give up a chance at massive FA deals are, in fact, the stupid ones themselves, part 1,000:

Bregman was one of two signings I really didn’t want to see. Fingers crossed Lindor hates security.

Don't worry. There's probably a 1 percent chance he'll sign a long-term deal with the Indians, especially if Trout is getting paid $35M+ a year.

Baseball isn't about winning championships anymore, it's crossed into exclusively entertainment. Change my mind.

Wonder if they'll make a run at Betts. He seems like he's happy in Boston and they'll re-up him before his contract expires, and hopefully the Sox learned from their mistake with Jon Lester. However, Betts is super confident and it could be tempting for him to see what he could get in an open market (especially if the Yankees let his agent know that they'd be bidding).I'll work on my Ellsbury jokes just in case.

So the O's have Mike Yastrzemski (grand son of Carl), Preston Palmeiro (son of Rafael) and Ryan Ripken (Son of Cal). All have gotten some spring training PT with the big club, but are pretty locked in for minor league work. So the question is with the O's expected to be awful this season, which of these will get to the big club first (or at all). Little Yaz is stuck behind lots of outfielders, Little Ripken has not really lit up the minor leagues (or college baseball).

Not as pissed off as Allan Walsh is. That narcissist threw a major temper tantrum on Twitter last night. Even though hockey players get a much greater percentage of HRR than baseball players get of BRR under the current cap system.

if baseball was exclusively about entertainment then teams wouldn't be putting shitty products on the field in the pursuit of a championship 5 years down the road
