I think that’d be good training for US presidential elections.
I actually think the media isn't getting enough credit for teeing this up. The told everyone it wouldn't be settled until TH/FR and not a lot of ppl listened.

Except most test cricket matches end in a draw.

Biden's lead in Arizona is down to 12k.. Trump just got a huge push.

It would be so 2020 if this ended up 269-269

Kind of a stretch comparing Biden to Sir Don Bradman though

How is AZ turning? Mark Kelly's numbers remain strong. Are there Trump/Kelly ballots out there?

Georgia is down to about 30K difference (.8%) as of the 11 PM EST update.

This guy is a good follow as Georgia and Pennsylvania results come in. Pennsylvania looks good; Georgia ok but little room for error.

Here’s Pennsylvania:

You know what's really distressing to me right now? If Trump, with all his utter buffoonery and incompetence, had done even a C- minus job managing the Pandemic, he would have won re-election with complete ease.

That Georgia chart might be too optimistic. The GA SoS says there’s only 90,000 votes left to count. That means 98% have been counted, not 95% as the chart says. (The chart is based on CNN estimates.)

If 95% has been counted, Biden would win by 60K. But if it’s 98%, it’ll basically be a tie.

Maybe?

I know the polls haven’t exactly been spot-on, but the Biden-Trump head-to-head has basically been the same for 18 months. So do we really know if the pandemic actually changed minds?

The murmuring seems to be that Georgia gets there Steve. Biden just netted over 16,000 from the last 23,000 Fulton county update. I think the repub lead is down to around 20,000 now with still around 60,000 out.

Do you have a link for that? NYT says it’s still a 31,700 spread with 90,000 left. That’s an hour old though. But now they’re saying no more results tonight?

I’ve seen that somewhere also. The campaign phone banks were calling the voters in various states including GA.

Steve, pasted a tweet just after I wrote that which seems to be arriving at the same math. I did my figuring before I saw that. I certainly may be off.

There seems to be a lot of uncertainty about that Fulton County dump and whether the results on media websites reflect it or not.

Hopefully PA makes this all moot - and then Biden gets GA anyway,,and secures AZ and NV to get up to around 300 EVs.

Welcome to Day 3. We have a sense of fascinated helplessness as statistics slowly accumulate and a sense that after five days the result still won’t be clear.

Fwiw dekalb is crooked to its core. They just might find the votes. If I were a Republican lawyer I'd start there. 4000 left in Fulton with 10000 to be adjudicated, whatever that means. Chad-ish I guess.

Hard disagree. Any case he puts up isn't going to be decided by legal precedent or rhetorical persuasion, because he has none. It's simply whether the Judges/Justices this goes in front of feel the need to give him the presidency because they feel that they owe him their jobs, or that they are going to show some backbone. Nothing else.

The GOP have been so obviously clear in their attempts to manufacture uncertainty about the legitimacy of the election that it would probably hurt them if the Dems did in fact try to steal the election.

Deleted a tweet. I think that guy’s reasoning is flawed. If trends hold, I think it’d take Biden 41,000 votes to catch up. IF trends hold.)

The point is if Trump took the pandemic serious enough and revved up America’s response as strong as it could be, then we’d have, what, 150,000 less dead, and a legit American success story relative to most of the rest of the world.

So McConnell already said he will block all of Biden’s cabinet picks unless their R.

Still amazes me how Biden win states where Dem Senate Candidates lost like Maine, Georgia.

Biden should temp appoint a few R senators from states that have Dem Governors, so Dem Gov appoint replacements.

We've already covered this. If he does that, Biden will just appoint them as Acting.
