Had he done that, Brian MCCann would have materialized at home plate to explain things rationally.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Fascinated to get MrDs take on AL MVP especially considering he was adamant about Trout’s worthiness in Cabrera’s Triple Crown season.

I was holding out for almost two weeks on getting tickets for this Saturday (oldest's bday gift) until after Judge broke the record and the games became essentially meaningless. Monday I decided I better jump, got 300 level for $65 each. Two more homerless games later and our section is now at a minimum of $156. #thegambler

So why do they say most in AL history. I thought they weren't counting the McBondSa things?

ALl those are still the official records on the books. This is the "we sure hope this guy isn't on something, too" record.

Instead of being very cool for once and paying homage to Phil Rizzuto, Michael Kay should have intentionally bombed the call with something like “He was AIRIN’ one out to left and no one should JUDGE him for tying this record!” or something.

That Lou Boudreau season had me askance, until I looked it up and saw that his BB/K ratio that year was 98 to 9. Not a typo.

I used to play WhatIfSports - and that '48 Lou Boudreau was a go-to player to include in your roster.

Frankie Lasagna!

Froze up probably because as he started leaning over the railing he likely was worried about falling so hesitated that little bit and pulled back with his arms and body. On the Jays broadcast, they kept showing his frustration over the next 20 minutes.

The Phillies are going to blow a makeable playoff spot because they went 0-6 against the Cubs of all teams. I missed the '64 Phold and now I'm glad I'll have a chance to experience it. You're welcome, Steve.

Yeah, those six wins are probably going to blow the Cubs' draft position too.

Fuck the Cubs.

(But at least you get to watch Schwarber hit 40 homers.)

As they should. I’m sure there are a ton of Tulane/UH fans who are also Yankee fans.

No one outside of Yankees fans gives a shit about this for real.

Agreed. I obviously watch local so I was surprised whenever I found out there were cut-ins. Chasing Bonds, sure, but just the AL mark?

It’s definitely cool but cut-ins should be limited to critical breaking news or legitimate history making moments

If there’s ever another 9/11 at night, somewhere a Tulane fan is going to complain about coverage cutting into his game.
