Maybe that Trochek fight was for a perceived slew foot? Perry is a pest, but not much for fighting.

Re: NHL 2022-23
Thought so too but a Rangers guy said Perry called for it. Not sure if it was something else or Perry hoping to avoid a real fight by taking that one.

Colton is not big, and Paul can handle himself.

Corey Perry has always been a dirty punk.

Thanks Caps! Although the prospect of just needing two wins against the worst 2 teams in the league is terrifying to me.

If I’m the Kraken I’m tanking these next two games to avoid the Oilers in the first round.

I hate you.
And fitting this season may have unofficially ended with the worst case example of me watching via score alerts.

Red wings drank their faces off all afternoon and evening yesterday if that type of information is useful to any of you with gambling accounts.

Re: NHL 2022-23
Edmonton is -550 against San Jose which seems….low?
Spreads get wacky this time of year but that’s about as high of a spread as you’re gonna get on an NHL game and it’s still probably too generous.

Edmonton is going to win tonight, but Pittsburgh lost Tuesday as a -550 favorite over Chicago, and again tonight as a -250 favorite over Columbus.

I’ll root for you to get Bedard in the NHL lottery and you root for me to get Wemby in the NBA lottery, sound like a deal?

If I’m a conspiracy theorist, I think the NHL would want him in one of those two or Montreal.

Those three, Detroit as a legacy franchise, Arizona on need, Vancouver because he’s from there and they just feel like a franchise that should be good …

I know conspiracy theories are fun but they actually show the lottery now (after the fact). i don't think you can rig 4 ball combinations.

Re: NHL 2022-23
Think that's a reflection of the VGK goalie situation, which is somewhat fair but probably overdone as far as these projections go. Sportsbook odds are VGK -155 to -165 for the series which is probably closer to the right number.

Re: NHL 2022-23
There’s something to be said for watching the playoffs without your favorite team. No stress.
I’m interested in the Oilers/Kings series. Edmonton looks ready for a deep run but LA might be a bad matchup for them. Kopitar and Danault are two fine defensive centers, so it might be fun to watch them try to slow down McDavid and Draisaitl.

Re: NHL 2022-23
I’m certainly hoping those two teams beat up the living crap out of each other. Kings winning in 7 would be ideal (think VGK matches up a little better.). Assuming Vegas can get by Winnipeg of course.sancarlos wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 10:54 amThere’s something to be said for watching the playoffs without your favorite team. No stress.

Every team that had a positive goal diff made the playoffs and every team with a negative goal diff missed the playoffs except one outlier. Degen, want to guess who?

now you know this can't be true, else i'd be the most stress-free person you've ever heard of.

Re: NHL 2022-23
Dumb stat: Rangers have four goalies who have played 82+ games over the last five seasons and each is either retired and headed for the HoF or starting in this year's playoffs.
Re: NHL 2022-23
It’s been more than five years since Raanta was a Ranger.
