Germany would have to win by 2, right?
I think you're right. I can't keep up!
Announcers just said a one-goal win would do it.
If you're listening to the announcers on Fox, they're complete idiots, though. I thought goals scored was next tiebreaker after points and GD, inexplicably in front of Head to Head.
First tie break is GD, second is total goals scored.

I believe you have to wear each of your kits once in the group stage. For marketing!

THERE'S the Mexico we grew up hating. Getting your ass handed to you? Go ahead and line a guy up for an elbow to the back of the head.

Guy should've been red carded for that. Looked right at his head before delivering the blow.

No finish by the Germans. They should have just brought retired Klose. He is still only 40.

Yeah, I flipped to Germany-Korea for the drama, but also because I knew that shit was gonna happen. LIke clockwork. Fuck Mexico. Can't believe I'm forced to root for a late German goal because it would be cool to see Germany crash out early for the first time.

The hot takes about bring Low back for another cycle will be firing. Glad I don't speak German.

This is VERY reminiscent of 2002 when the US got thumped (3-1) by Poland, only to be sent through when the Koreans beat Portugal 1-0.

Kind of nuts, really. Almost the exact same scenario. (That goals was earlier in the second half, but still.)

Asia's had a good world cup. In 2014 all 4 of their teams finished bottom of their respective group with 0 wins.

This year they have 5 teams and all of them have a win except Australia. Japan still with a chance to advance.

Of course, had Germany won I would have been wrong since CONCACAF would have had no one advance.

Knock out stage is starting to look like Euro 2016 with one half of the draw stacked. Should get a better idea after today, but if I were England/Belgium I might prefer to come second in the group.
Bottom half now looks appealing
Spain/Russia
Croatia/Denmark
Sweden/Switerland
1H/2G

No. Nothing matters. Serbia was only team that could keep Swiss out.

Edit: Swiss could have gone top but now they'd need like four goals.

And Mexico might be the worst matchup for Brazil. These guys are not in awe of Brazil and have played them close at other age levels including winning olympic gold in 2012.

Fascinated to see how terrible the Belgium-England game is.

Also, had no idea that Barbados once had to defend both goals in a qualification match.
